First and foremost, I want to thank every program who has reached out and showed interest in me. This decision was not easy by any means, but I felt Brown was the best fit. Iโ€™m extremely blessed and grateful to have had all of the support systems and coaches who have poured into me over the years, as well as an amazing family who has believed in me since the very beginning. Iโ€™m super excited to get to work in Providence. But until then, I still have some goals to accomplish at the high school level. 3/4 #onelastgoaround - - (4/1/26 - One Month After State) Just over one month ago today, I had my dream taken away from me again. The dream of becoming a state champ. Youโ€™d probably assume Iโ€™m angry, upset, disappointed, confused, and the truth isโ€ฆ I was. I worked so hard and felt I did everything right only to end up with the same result of second. Yet after taking some time to reflect and recover, I feel peace. Sure Iโ€™m still dissatisfied, but itโ€™s only made me more hungry than ever and excited to work and learn. I have one more year to chase this dream and Iโ€™m gonna give it everything I have. Thank you God for the life I live and giving that little kid his dream. I spent so much time obsessing over wins, losses, and rankings earlier in the season, that I lost sight of my purpose to compete in the first place. After a rough Junior Duals, I realized my success wasnโ€™t Godโ€™s gift for me; the matches were. I may not have placed in freestyle and not as high as I wanted to in Greco, but I felt free competing again. I had fun giving it all I had each match and seeking โ€œfailuresโ€ as opportunities to grow. Although I should be proud of first finals appearances and first Greco title at Southern Plains, I have my eyes set on two Fargo titles, which means I still have some work to do.
