A sentence can stay with you for years. Something you read in a book. Something someone said when you needed encouragement. Something you wrote before you realized how much you needed to say it. Words have that kind of power. They shape how we see others—and what we believe is possible for ourselves. On National Author’s Day, I’m reflecting on my own journey writing I.C.U.: The Comprehensive Guide to Breathing Life Back Into Your Personal Brand. So much of my work centers on how others see us. But the words we use to describe ourselves matter, too. “I’m just…” “It’s too late…” “Who am I to…?” We can repeat those sentences so often that we begin to live within them. Writing gives us an opportunity to question those stories. Reading gives us the chance to discover another perspective. That’s one of the privileges of being an author: your words may reach someone you’ll never meet and help them see themselves a little differently. What words have stayed with you? #NationalAuthorsDay #PowerOfWords #PersonalBranding by @imagepowerplay
Style isn’t about blending in. It’s about knowing who you are well enough that you don’t feel the need to. Bold patterns. Bare feet. A little fall sunshine. 🍂 One of the beautiful things about getting older is becoming more comfortable with who you are. You begin to understand what feels right, what reflects your personality, and what makes you feel most like yourself. And somewhere along the way, you realize that confidence isn’t about standing out just to be noticed. It’s about feeling comfortable enough in your own skin to let your style speak for itself. That’s when personal style becomes more than what you wear. It becomes an expression of who you are. ✨ by @imagepowerplay
There’s a profound difference between being known and being remembered. Visibility alone doesn’t create influence. Think back to people who have made a lasting impression on you. What was it about them? Title? Accomplishments? Visibility? I believe it was something much deeper. We pay attention to how someone makes us feel when we are around them, the good and the bad. That’s the Power of Perception. Your personal brand is more than getting your name out there. It’s what your name means to others. Everything Communicates. by @imagepowerplay
Who decided femininity and power were opposites? I’ve always been drawn to the feminine. The romance of beautiful fabrics. The movement of a dramatic sleeve. The artistry of color. The allure of a silhouette. But I’ve never believed femininity was synonymous with fragility. There is strength in softness. Confidence in elegance. Power in knowing exactly who you are without feeling the need to become someone else to be taken seriously. I can love pink, embrace glamour, appreciate beauty, and still be a woman with strong opinions, big ideas, and an unmistakable presence. Perhaps the most powerful thing a woman can wear isn’t something that makes her look powerful. It’s the freedom to look entirely like herself. And that, to me, is the ultimate expression of personal style. 💗 ✅ Blouse: @bellofcalifornia DM for collabs. #EverythingCommunicates #PersonalStyle #ReturnOnImage #StyleBlogger #feminineenergy femininestyle by @imagepowerplay
I’ve always believed the most interesting outfits have a little tension. Something feminine. Something edgy. Something classic. Something unexpected. For me, personal style has never been about following the rules. It’s about knowing who you are, owning what you love, and wearing it with confidence. ✅ @franklymandesign sweater ✅ @lovechicos faux leather skirt ✅ Vera Wang eyewear by @imagepowerplay
It’s been two years since you’ve been gone, Dad. ❤️ You are missed every single day. I even miss your gym selfies! 😊 I’m so grateful for the time we were all given with you—for the memories, the laughter, and especially the joy and humor you brought into our lives. There are so many little things that still make me think of you. We’re down here doing our best, carrying you with us as we go. And it brings me comfort knowing you and Mom are together again in Heaven. Miss you and love you, Dad. by @imagepowerplay
Always have a little black dress in your closet. Today, I attended a funeral and reached for a tried-and-true piece that has been a staple in my wardrobe for 10 years. It was a reminder of something I often tell my clients: build your wardrobe around pieces that will serve you for years, not just a season. We all love adding something fun and trendy, but I recommend investing about 80% of your wardrobe budget in timeless basics and 20% in trend-driven pieces. A great little black dress is one of those investments. Ten years later, mine is still showing up for me when I need it. by @imagepowerplay

In @cabiclothing from @design605. A lot of my tried and true pieces are from cabi, a brand I love. ❤️ by @imagepowerplay
Seven years ago, I found this dress at @targetstyle …and I’m still wearing it! Yes, I have designer pieces in my closet, but I also have plenty of affordable finds. Great style isn’t about the label or the price tag. It’s about choosing pieces that feel like you, fit you well, and make you feel confident. This little Target dress has definitely earned its cost per wear. 💜 by @imagepowerplay

Wishing everyone a fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend! 🇺🇸☀️ I’m just over here trying to hang onto summer as long as I possibly can… 😎🌴 I’m not ready for pumpkin spice, sweaters, or anything that requires closed-toe shoes just yet. 😂 Here’s to one more weekend of sunshine, summer vibes, and pretending fall isn’t right around the corner! ☀️ by @imagepowerplay
