Today, Ukraine enters 10 months of war and what will likely be its toughest winter as millions endure freezing temperatures with limited access to water and electricity and relentless Russian attacks that are expected to increase over the Christmas holiday.

President Zelenskyy’s appeal before Congress this week was a vivid reminder that our continued support is needed now more than ever.

This giving season, show your solidarity by donating through IMAGESFORHUMANITY.ORG in exchange for an 8”x10” archival print by a world-class photographer (link in bio).

All profits go to the Ukrainian Red Cross who have been providing emergency medical services and basic supplies to displaced residents, as well as reconstructing homes and buildings devastated by missile strikes.

Visit IMAGESFORHUMANITY.ORG and donate today. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a big impact and directly help those most in need.

With temperatures falling below zero, Ukraine has been struggling to reconnect water and power supply to millions of people who have been subjected to blackouts over recent weeks after a barrage of Russian missiles and drones hit energy infrastructure leaving nearly 80% of the country in the dark.

On Wednesday, @zelenskiy_official called the Russian attacks a “crime against humanity” in a video address to the UN Security Council.

On this #blackfriday , we invite you to visit our gallery of archival prints that are on sale now for $125 at IMAGESFORHUMANITY.ORG!

All profits go directly to @redcrossukraine who have been providing essential humanitarian aid during these devastating and uncertain times.

We are grateful for your support!

Images for Humanity is a nonprofit that supports humanitarian crises around the world by leveraging the power of photography.

Our #UkraineCrisisFundraiser , a print sale that launched in May, offers work from over 100 renowned and emerging photographers that’s available on the Images for Humanity website (link in bio). All proceeds go directly to @redcrossukraine to support their continuous efforts in and around Ukraine during the ongoing war.

Photo credit: “Mock Charge, April 2007” by Images for Humanity co-founder and lensman, @andyandersonphoto .

This stunning photo of a young elephant was taken one evening in the #GrumetiGameReserve , which borders the Serengeti National Park. “I was with my guide, Mark Mackenzie, and son, Zach, in a Land Rover. As we approached the animal, he became very curious and performed a mock charge. He fortunately did not come any closer and we left,” describes Anderson.

✨Mock charging is a tactic elephants use to determine whether or not someone is a threat. Unlike real charges, which are typically "silent”, mock charges are somewhat theatrical: Visual cues may include strenuous ear-flapping, twiddling of the trunk, vocal sounds (may include trumpet), swinging of one of the forelegs to and fro, rocking from side to side, kicking dust, tail raising, etc.

To purchase Anderson’s 8”x10” print, visit IMAGESFORHUMANITY.ORG (link in bio)!

Today, the people of #Ukraine commemorate 31 years of #independence as the war reaches its 6-month mark.

As @potus states on the @whitehouse website, “Today and every day, we stand with the Ukrainian people to proclaim that the darkness that drives autocracy is no match for the flame of liberty that lights the souls of free people everywhere. The United States, including proud Ukrainian-Americans, looks forward to continuing to celebrate Ukraine as a democratic, independent, sovereign and prosperous state for decades to come.” 🌻🇺🇦

Taken on his iPhone from the 61st floor of the iconic @aqua_chicago , Hirshfeld captures the #windycity from a unique vantage point.

From the swooping lines of the balconies to the skyscrapers in the distance, your eyes are led towards the vastness of the western #horizon . As Hirshfeld describes, “It almost feels like Batman might show up at any minute!”

To order your own 8”x10” print of “Chicago, 2015”, go to IMAGESFORHUMANITY.ORG.

Your purchase will go directly to support the ongoing humanitarian efforts of @redcrossukraine . Learn more about our #UkraineCrisisFundraiser by visiting the link in our bio today!

✨“To most of us who have dedicated our careers to the pursuit of moving people through the still image, we felt that through the exchange of a financial donation for a beautiful photograph from a master, we might most immediately serve as a reminder of this tragedy and perhaps help thwart similar actions in the future.” - @maxhirshfeld

Acclaimed director and photographer @DanielleLevitt began shooting teenagers in the early 2000s, and has since become one of the most important documentarians of authentic youth culture. For Levitt, it’s important to showcase the under-represented, celebrate #diversity , and inspire others to feel comfortable with who they are.

“I guess I reached a certain age where I started recognizing #youthculture as something that just seemed new and fresh. I hadn’t been in high school for over ten years, but when I started to pay attention, I found that nothing had changed – kids were still trying to express themselves in all these different and unique ways.”

Photo credit: Thank you @daniellelevitt for donating “Jeremy and a dove, Cuba, 2017” to our #UkraineCrisisFundraiser !

Levitt captured this image on a life-changing trip to #Cuba where she stayed with locals who shared “their Cuba” - one that they intimately know and Levitt got to experience. She says, “It’s true Cubans are incredible and warm. We discovered small fishing villages, went into homes of welcoming strangers, learned how tobacco farmers tend their crops, drive in convertibles, got sun, ate amazing Ropa Vieja, made friends, and drank rum. We are ready to go back.” 🇨🇺
