Today was much needed.
It has been super stressful and busy at the muggle job lately and I absolutely needed this break to do whatever it is I wanted to do or needed to do.

Today I did not get up until I decided I was ready to get up.
Today I finished some projects.
Today I got partially ready for an upcoming trip.
Today I talked to a good friend for quite a while.
Today I did much needed laundry.
Today I started a new painting.
Today I wrote this manifesto.

It was prompted by someone on one of those other apps where I spend the majority of my social media time. I thought it was a pretty cool exercise and if you are a creator of any kind I recommend it. It's good to really take a minute and see what matters. See why you're doing something.

The ability to use creative tools to process this crazy life that we live is not just for artists. It's for everyone.

That's why I do intuitive visualization workshops and coloring pages. It helps people do life. It helps you work through things you didn't even know you were working through. It makes you smile if you're doing it right and I don't mean technically, I just mean letting go and getting into having a little fun, letting that inner child out, laughing and doing something just for the sake of doing it and not because we care about the outcome. While in the process you actually do make a difference in your mental and spiritual health.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to guide, and journey with others as we all heal the wounds we carry.

What are you thankful for today?

In the Dungeon Crawler Carl Roleplay game, character creation is designed to let your imagination run wild with plenty of opportunities for creating drama. Tables like this give you a great jump start but the real magic happens when your players start throwing ideas around!

We're not saying you should create a horse from a famous theme park with identity issues, but one of our cast did and it was totally a team effort of glorious "yes and" energy sparked by a single "what if" by @eatplayrole .

Your tables are community story time, embrace it and enjoy the ride.

We've started doing homework now that we have our hands on the Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG pdfs. We love our homework.

"If you've been rolling dice for your backgrounds like a pregnant raccoon rampaging through a liquor store, why stop now?"

14 pages into one of the supplements and every page has made @imaginif smile.

Hats off @renegade_game_studios

We can't wait to add to the story. by @imaginif

GenCon follow up post that is basically an appreciation post for the story that has somehow revitalized my own writing.

I took in every Dungeon Crawler Carl event that I could get into, including what I felt was the most important one on indie publishing. Ironically this was the same event with the tornado lockdown and filled with creepy post apocalyptic sirens but alas, it was not a fancy Renegade stunt and it passed us by quickly. Seeing three authors of very different paths share a stage and all add tremendous value to the discussion was really something magical. I have a lot of theories on why this series, why this type of genre, but we'll save that for a Patreon post.

I'm fortunate to be friends with some incredibly kind and talented people and seeing them and having moments to connect was so great. Having some of them share my joy of this beautifully chaotic and powerful writing style is a big bonus.

I experienced quite a few firsts on this adventure, shown here, attending the first official Dungeon Crawler Carl live TTRPG AP with Matt & Jeff, playing the new game twice before release, and entering the dungeon as an animal.

And I still managed to find time to pick up a really cool board game and card game!

All of it was totally worth the recovery I'm now doing on the couch 😂

Ahhhhh what a wild ride this was at GenCon 2026! Saw some of my favorite people, met new friends, found out you can't trust anyone 🤣 ( Blood on the Clocktower was a blast! ) and despite being exhausted and overwhelmed, seized every moment to spend time with people. This is my people post. ❤️

Tag yourself if you want. I absolutely did not take enough photos.

See you next time!

Big thanks to @casperdanbghost for being such an awesome driving buddy, and to @classicsamnygm for inviting me on this adventure. Telling stories, supporting the community, and reminding people about the importance of play is truly a joy. by @imaginif
