Sometimes the most simplest things can make a world of difference. Thanks Panhandle Slim for this; I needed this reminder. 🖤✊🏾

I’m officially a published author! 🎉🥹🎉

This has been a long journey, but to have opened this box on this day is so surreal to me. Thank you to everyone who played a role in this becoming a reality.

Thank you to my co-author, Dr. Mark Ellingsen, for trusting me to co-create a wonderful work in the spirit of the prophetic tradition of truth telling.

Thank you to our publisher, @newcitypress, for being patient with us as we wrestled with the necessary tension of racism, faith and ultimately liberation in order to get this over the finish line.

Thank you @ms.bjh for being a constant source of inspiration for pushing through, despite the days I just wanted to give up. And for just being there through the entire process.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to my grandmother, the late Rev. Dr. Charlotte McKenzie, my greatest motivation. The reason I chose this journey, the reason I continued to fight the good fight, and the reason I was introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ. This book is dedicated to you, dear ancestor. 🕊❤️

Now we launch 🚀!

I am deeply humbled. But today, I’m also allowing myself to be proud.

U.S. District Judge Steven Grimberg graciously swore me and my fellow @atlantajmls leader, Briana Coreus, in under the Third Year Practice Act to practice law under supervision and represent the United States through the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, where I’m grateful to serve in the Civil Rights and Public Integrity Section.

There are moments you pray for. Moments you work for. And then there are moments you could have never written for yourself. This is one of those moments, because so many students are never told this is possible - but it absolutely is.

Over 15 years ago, I raised my right hand and swore to support and defend the Constitution as a soldier in the U.S. Army. Today, I raised it again to practice law. Different assignment. Same oath.

Today, I still believe that oath means something. May God give me the wisdom, courage, and integrity to keep mine. #AJMLSProud by @imajorwish

God is angry. And there’s something we can do about it: Do justice. Love mercy. Walk humbly with God.

That was the message this morning at West Mitchell Street CME Church for Brothers Empowerment Sunday.

Thank you, @pastorskip and the West Mitchell church for the invitation! taken in West Mitchell Street CME Church by @imajorwish

Today marks the beginning of my final year of law school - and my academic journey in higher education.

What began as a decision to deepen my capacity to serve is quickly becoming a calling. This year is about finishing strong, sharpening my advocacy, and preparing for what comes with being a social engineer.

Fun Fact: There are currently only 12 attorneys with the last name Woodall in the State Bar of Georgia. This time next year, I intend to make 13. My lucky number. I’d say that’s pretty fitting.

One final year at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Then the Bar. ⚖️ #AJMLSProud taken in Atlanta's John Marshall Law School by @imajorwish

Chief Justice, and may it please the Court.

This season began with the wins.

2nd place and Best Respondent at the @srblsaThurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition, and sixth in the nation at the @nblsa Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition, victories earned alongside co-counsel in true partnership. Servant Heart award. Inspiring Peer Mentor Award. @statebarofga Access to Justice Award. @atlantajmls Barristers’ Ball Royal Court. Elected @ajmls_sba President.

Those are the outcomes. But the issue before this Court is not what was achieved. It’s what it required.

In the courtroom, I served the last 12 months at the DeKalb Public Defender’s Office. I stood in real advocacy. In the community, I gave 300+ hours of service. Not for recognition, but because where I come from, the law is not theory. It is the difference between being heard and being forgotten.

There were moments I misspoke. Moments I misstepped. The record is clear. But I returned, owned it, and corrected it. Because accountability is not optional in this work. It is the standard.

And I did not stand alone. I stood with people who challenged me, sharpened me, and refused to let me settle for potential when purpose required more. So the question before this Court is what this all means.

It means I enter my 3L year not just with wins, but with responsibility.

To serve with clarity.
To lead with honesty.
To stand when it matters.

For these reasons, we respectfully request this Court recognize that the work continues. taken in Atlanta's John Marshall Law School by @imajorwish
