You are my husband, my best friend, and the person who stands beside me through everything. Eighteen years together—oh my God! Through all the love, the challenges, and everything life has brought our way, we’re still here, still choosing each other, and still standing strong together.

I feel so lucky and privileged to share my life with you. You are such a beautiful human being, and I hope you always know how deeply you are loved, cherished, and appreciated.

I am speechless. A committee hearing bringing Dr. Fauci and COVID-19 back after all these years feels like political theater
reopening one of our darkest collective traumas to distract from what is happening now.
I have tried to stay away from politics and protect my peace, but this is too much. I am exhausted. by @imanlecaire

Today, on Juneteenth, we honor freedom, resilience, and the generations of Black Americans whose courage, creativity, and determination helped shape our nation.

From all of us at Trans Asylias, and from Jean-Manuel Pourquet and myself, we celebrate the strength of elders who carry history in their stories and the communities that continue to build a more compassionate, just, and inclusive future.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not only a moment in history, it is a living promise. A promise that calls us to recognize the dignity, humanity, and worth of every person, and to continue the work of justice for those whose voices are too often marginalized.

Today we celebrate.
Today we remember.

Today, my heart is full.

Congratulations to my sister, @qween_jean Qween Jean, on this historic achievement.

As the first openly transgender woman to win a Tony Award for Costume Design, you have made history—not only for yourself, but for countless transgender people who have spent their lives being told that our dreams were too big, our voices too loud, or our presence too inconvenient.

You proved the opposite.

You showed the world that talent, vision, creativity, and determination cannot be erased.

For so many of us, this moment is about more than an award. It is a reminder that transgender people belong everywhere: on stages, in boardrooms, in classrooms, in government, in the arts, and in every place where human excellence is celebrated.

I am deeply honored to call you my sister and my friend. I have watched your commitment to our community, your generosity, your courage, and your relentless work to create space for others. This victory belongs to you, but its light reaches far beyond you.

Being LGBTQIA+ should never be a crime. Today, we stand with the people of Ghana.” 💜

The bill passed Parliament and now awaits action by President John Mahama before it can become law.

Today, we stand with the LGBTQIA+ community in Ghana.

On May 29, 2026, Ghana’s Parliament passed the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, one of the harshest anti LGBTQIA+ bills in the world. If signed into law, it would criminalize same sex relationships and punish support for LGBTQIA+ rights, creating fear and discrimination.

This bill does not protect people. It targets a vulnerable community simply for existing.

At Trans Asylias, we have worked with LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers fleeing violence and persecution in search of safety and dignity.

To our LGBTQIA+ siblings in Ghana:

You are not alone.You are not a crime.Your lives matter.

We stand with you today and always.

Right now, there are transgender people trying to escape violence, homelessness, imprisonment, and death… and we do not have enough money to help them.

My name is Iman Le Caire. I’m the founder of Trans Asylias, @transasylias a small grassroots organization helping transgender asylum seekers relocate to safety in countries like Canada, France, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands.

People think this work is symbolic. It’s not.

Our work means:

Plane tickets.
Emergency housing.
Visa fees.
Food.Lawyers.
Mental health support.
Safe transportation.
Survival.

Right now, we have more than 300 cases in waiting, and we can only actively work on a maximum of 10 cases at a time.

Every week, we receive messages from people terrified for their lives.

I know what exile feels like.I know what it feels like to run for your life, leave behind your family, your friends, your home, everything you own… and pray that somebody opens a door for you.
