Kostas giving us an update on how the sign is going… only 10% of people say hello when entering… he believes kindness is the answer. 💙🧿 #greece #imarriedagreek #love #delphicmaxims #married by @imarriedagreek

Kostas, my verry Greek husband who listens to very Greek music 😅( I’m not exaggerating) also loves to rock out to Dolly Parton…and even named his car “ Jolene” after her song. RIP Dolly, even small villages in Greece love you and your music🤍 #greece #married #dollyparton #greeklife by @imarriedagreek

My husband has been working in his shop for over 41 years seeing all kinds of tourists. He says since Covid he has noticed a change in the people.. as he says “ they have lost the love and the kindness” So he finally made a sign he’s been wanting to make for years.. asking people to say hello when the enter his shop. We shall see how it goes. 😁❤️#greece #tourism #shopsmallbusinesses #family #familybusiness by @imarriedagreek

Kostas is what makes this store great and what keeps bringing customers back year after year. 🥰 His passion is endless, he loves sharing his knowledge, he loves making a sale and every day he gets the customers smiling and laughing. Here’s to a great start to a new season!! #delphi #lovemyhusband♥️ #greece #spartan #tourist #newseason by @imarriedagreek

For the past 5 years, every Christmas and New Years Kostas and I have made a wish.. the wish has always been the same wish. 🙏 That we would be blessed with having a family together. Before meeting kostas I really didn’t know if I would ever have kids… didn’t know if it was in the “ cards” so to speak for me. But as soon as Kostas and I met, and then got married.. it was all we both ever talked about.. prayed for, and deeply longed for, and every year that passed and It didn’t happen there was sadness, and I know we are not alone in this feeling.
We are beyond grateful and happy to share the exciting news that in 2025 we will be welcoming our baby girl into this world!!! We continue to take it day by day and deepen into the trust of how everything is meant to unfold! Thank you to the friends and family who have stayed extra close during this time, you have no idea how much this means to us! And.. if there is a prayer or longing you’ve had in your heart for some time… Never give up.. Never ever give up friends. 💖 We love you, and we wish you all an incredibly fulfilling year ahead!! 🐬🌈💫🙌

This morning we received a phone call from our neighbor Voula, saying she had made a pita for Maria ( that’s what they call me here in Delphi) The first time I ever met Voula I was out for a walk and I saw this woman in a field harvesting wild greens.. in the little Greek I know I asked her what she was harvesting… she was picking “ Horta” wild greens to make a Pita..like a spinach pie. From this day forward every interaction I’ve ever had with her has been so precious. She is the real deal Greek Yia Yia and I feel has much wisdom to share. We brought her some freshly harvested Walnuts and Olive Oil as a thank you for her thoughtfulness and generosity. And I must say her pita is the best I’ve ever tasted!!! You will never see this post Voula but thank you! You are one of the last of your kind and it’s a privilege to be in your company. 💙💫🌸🩷🙏🧑‍🍳

Kostas has noticed that over the past 3 years tourists have become more rude. Many will walk into our store and not even say hello or acknowledge there is a human standing there. Or they will leave and not even say goodbye. For small family owned business this is seen as very rude. So, today he has decided to put a sign on the door saying “ please say hello when entering this store. You will receive a 10% discount if you do”…. Or something like that. It’s these simple things that make all the difference. #imarriedagreek #greece #greekowned #smallbusiness #respect #sayhello 🩵 by @imarriedagreek
