This. Was. FUCKED.

Finish time: 1:42:49

A 14 minute difference from my first Tely in 2021 where I conquered 1:28:43.

The 2021 Tely occurred on October 31st and the difference in weather temperature compared to this year most definitely worked in the favour of us runners. Seeing people on the ground today and surrounded by paramedics and fellow runners throughout the route really makes me wish that an event like this was hosted at a different time of year…

Thank you to my Mom for stopping at 3 different locations throughout the route to be there rooting for me. I’m very grateful for the support I receive from people and also the health and support from this body of mine that allows me to push through my mental and emotional limits during times like today.

Meet Devon, in 2018 Devon came out to family and friends about his sexuality for the first time at the age of 21.

Hiding a key part of your identity and keeping a secret to yourself for so long can be harmful on our mental, emotional, and physical health. At the age of 15 Devon was diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, and Panic disorder, which at that time made no sense whatsoever. Looking back now it’s clear to see just how much of an impact holding onto so much fear, had on Devon’s life throughout his youth.

Once Devon practiced accepting himself, and also gave others the opportunity to do the same by sharing his vulnerability, he was able to become more comfortable in his skin. This led Devon to begin making healthier choices day by day such as working out, meditating, being a voice for himself and others, and dominating any challenge that comes his way.

What’s necessary to take away from this is that your voice, life, and attitude matters. Not only to yourself but to the people in your life as well. Give yourself the gift of acceptance and take the rest day by day. We’re in this together.

Time together is time well spent. How’d you spend your weekend!?

I spent yesterday taste testing a few beers from @molsoncanadian, having bbq with friends and family, and capturing cute doggy content in between.

How’d the beer taste!? Go try them for yourself. I hope your weekend was filled with laughter and memories. Cheers 🍻
