I used to only coach bodybuilders because I think they were the best.

That was the mistake.

Actually what I saw was the discipline, the way training became part of who they were and assumed that was only for people chasing a stage. But many of my clients are working professionals, students who were looking for a change.

And I realized this mindset was never reserved for just bodybuilders.

If you’re someone who’s actually tried, not just thought about it and you might have gotten the result, then slid right back to where you started a few months later, that’s not a you problem.

That’s a systems problem. Nobody built something for guys like you meant to actually last.

You travel. You eat out. You’ve got a career that doesn’t leave room for a plan that only works when everything else in your life goes quiet.

If you’re tired of starting over, this is where that ends.

I rarely share my goals publicly because I’m afraid of failing and honestly, I’m ashamed of not achieving what I set out to do.

This will post will act as a reminder of why I started, keeps me focused, and reinforces the power of manifestation in the vision I’m working towards and fun fact, recording my first bodybuilding show’s progress was what brought me here on social media.

Send this to yourself, and let’s keep each other accountable on this journey. 🤝

I will help 40 people change their life by using fitness before the year ends.
I will achieve a $30k/mth dream and achieve a 500k networth
I will make time for my family and wife every week (without working on the desk)
I will strive to balance an athlete life & a business owner
I will achieve 30k followers before the end of the year
I will fly my wife and I on a business trip to our honey moon
I will make sure my bodybuilding clients take back more than just the prep but a change in their life (placings are a bonus)
I will try my best to not be too critical about myself and be proud

Follow @imhoechin for fitness tips on getting in shape, growth mindset and my journey on balancing being a professional natural bodybuilding athlete.

This is the first time I’ve been this vulnerable about my story, and I felt it was time to share it.

It’s not the full story and I’m still figuring out how much I want to open up but I hope this gives you a glimpse into the journey that’s shaped who I am today.

More than anything, I hope it reminds you that no matter where you start or what setbacks you face, you can build a life you’re proud of, as long as you keep showing up for yourself.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I genuinely appreciate every single one of you for being here, and I’m excited to keep helping more people become their best form @joinformhaus 👊🏻

Proud of how far this man has come. 👏🏻

And when Larry first came to me, he was doing 1.5 hours of cardio, training for almost 2 hours a day, and eating just 1,200 calories.

As a working professional in property, Larry is constantly on the move. He was also feeling exhausted as his approach to nutrition was limited to chicken breast, rice, and vegetables because he believed that was the only way to lose weight.

But the problem wasn’t that he wasn’t working hard enough. He was already doing A LOT and I realized that we needed a more sustainable approach.

Instead of pushing harder, we increased his calories, monitored his weight fluctuations, and worked on managing his food choices when eating out.

We adjusted his steps when needed, found ways to make his nutrition work around his schedule, and focused on building consistency without making his life revolve around fitness.

And the results?

✅ Weight moving in the right direction
✅ A sharper physique
✅ Higher energy levels
✅ A completed photoshoot and a goal achieved.

Larry is proof that you don’t have to sacrifice your career, social life, or sanity to build a physique you’re proud of.

Sometimes, the answer isn’t doing MORE. It’s having the right strategy for YOUR lifestyle.

Proud of how far this one’s come. 🔥

I admit that I’m ashamed to look back at my old content. The way I posed, or how I presented myself to the world. My friends would come up to me and label me some vain pot 😓

But those very same posts have shaped who I am today.

I’ll never forget being in Kuala Lumpur, backstage helping my clients before their show and when people from Australia and Indonesia came up to tell me that they had been following my content for years, and that it was one of the reasons they started bodybuilding and competing.

It was touching to me, I never regard myself as anyone special. I came from a below average family and yet, knowing that people from other countries knew who I am.

Over the years, my content has changed, and so have I. But my journey as an athlete, a coach, and a person remains the same. Maybe I’ll look back at today’s content and cringe again and that’s okay.

Because if sharing my journey has inspired even a handful of people to start theirs, then perhaps it was never something to be embarrassed about.

Be honest with yourself, because all you need is to be authentic and be real.

Eating out isn’t why you’re not losing fat.

I eat out on days despite being a bodybuilder. The difference is I’m not deciding from scratch every time, I always would envision a default order at the places I go most which makes it easy for me when I’m eating out! Choose between 2 things when you tell yourself that you’re eating out… eating for function OR eating for fun?

Anyway this is mine for YTF.

This is my golden rule: veg for volume, protein I can actually see, and one carb source.

Save it for your next hawker run 👀🙇🏻‍♂️ by @imhoechin

In my before photo, I was actually 3 kg heavier than I am today and yet, you can see that I’ve built more muscle despite weighing less 🙏🏻

Progress is boring and I’ve learned to embrace a normal, almost boring life. This transformation you see here shows roughly three years of progress 😓

When I look at how much work I’ve put into developing my back, I’m reminded of one thing: building muscle takes time.

Actually everything takes time ☝🏻 and if you’re getting stronger and lifting heavier weights, it doesn’t mean you’re targeting the right muscles.

Personally, that’s something I struggled with for years, especially when it came to developing my back. I learn to train, experiment with different exercises, and trying to figure out what I could improve. And looking back at these past few years, I’m genuinely grateful for how far I’ve come.

That’s a reminder that progress isn’t always reflected by the number on the scale.

So, normalize living a normal life. Normalize a boring life and trust the process! by @imhoechin

Before you take your next bite of fruit, read this ⬇️

I think there’s too much negative information around food and instead of educating ourselves about things that we’re told they’re “bad”, we avoid them!

I always preach to understand what’s actually going on, and learn how to make better choices that still help us reach our goals 🔥

If you’re feeling alone or confused in your fat loss journey, DM “FORM” for a non-obligatory call with me. We will discuss your goals in detail and see how I can help with your fitness journey. by @imhoechin

4KG 🆙

Nay is a corporate worker living the typical 9-to-5 lifestyle.

He came in wanting to build muscle, with almost zero training experience. Across a 4-month transformation, the difference was already visible, through proper programming and making sure he was actually able to build sufficient muscle. Yes, the weight went up fairly fast, but with intensive training behind it, most of that weight went toward muscle, not just the scale moving.

Here’s what we did:

1. Kept his hydration high. Not something that came naturally to him, he wasn’t someone who liked drinking water. But water is what actually transports nutrients, including the protein he was eating, to his muscles. It supports recovery between sessions and keeps your joints working properly under load. Even mild dehydration hurts training performance, so this mattered more than it seems.

2. Trained 4 times a week, hitting every body part as evenly as possible, including legs, despite that being the one he hated training most. No neglecting the parts that were inconvenient.

3. On food, we didn’t track in detail. He simply sent photos of his meals, and we prioritized protein, keeping it around 1.4x his bodyweight. Simple, consistent, and enough precision to support the goal without making it complicated.

A successful 4-month transformation for Nay and a pleasure to work with, start to finish!
