Thank you so much to all these incredible musicians, creatives, engineers, producers and these community spaces for your time, your patience and agreeing to be involved in this! I am so so so grateful!!!
5 years in this industry, not without blood, sweat, tears and truly having to walk away, let go and dare to start again and this song truly represents all of my experiences to get here and honoured for it to be my first.🥺
This song was truly made out of the most raw
and vulnerable moment and for me, I’m always grounded by love and anchored by my faith. And so, this song is for anyone who ever forgets that their value, purpose and reason is so much more than their talents or what the world will tell you your value lies in. Please know that you are more than enough and the sum of who you are is more than you can ever imagine. And WHOSE you are.
All the glory to God to be able to do this!

Thank you again @udmusicldn : The studios/ Talent House, @prsfoundation , & @blacklivesinmusic @weare_theunheard - Turn It Up residency:
@weareplatoon for the space and time- @tunecore.uk and @didieratine for support!
Thank you @chinamoses @jazzfmuk and @bbcintroducing @theojohnsonuk for listening!
And @sxswlondon for shortlisting this music THIS year before it even came out! Appreciate it!

Don’t lose faith, don’t lose heart and don’t ever let this world make you think you’re missing the very thing that lives IN you. I hope you love it for you. Now it’s yours! SOUL MUSIC to the 🌍!
Happy Dreams for Our Daughters day. Much love! 🤍

& finally: Happy 2 WEEKS of ‘Dreams for Our Daughters’ 🥹🤍 I still can’t believe this beautiful song is out in the world and it’s nothing but joy every time I read all the gorgeous responses!

All the spaces it’s been embraced even before its debut: thank you again to @sxswlondon - shortlisting DFOD and the music for this year’s festival, to BBC Introducing’s @theojohnsonuk / BBC Radio 1Xtra show for listening to DFOD immediately after she was uploaded & again to @jazzfmuk @chinamoses for the kind words surrounding DFOD as well.

But truly what means the absolute WORLD has been all the gorgeous messages & responses, and genuinely taking in the time to listen to the song! And so many gems that I’ve received that I’m holding onto 🩵Thank you all so much! I hope that with every new listen, you find more to love 🤍

Forever grateful that this is my first song out in the world, to God be the glory! 📻Much love! 🤍
Talk soon 🩵

SEND IT ON BY D’ANGELO IN THE LIVERPOOL STREET BALLROOM:

Finally got to tribute truly one of the biggest music giants to all of us in my own way & this meant the world, one Year to the day and two weeks to putting out music into the world myself💛

Musically one of the biggest influences in what it meant to live in purpose, in calling and passion and authenticity of your art, craft with such grace, joy. Truly one of one. A message of faith, love and hope unlike any other.
Timeless. Loved forever.

This was one of the moments I will never forget. This was BEAUTIFUL

So grateful to have this moment and with everyone there, singing along and we meant every word - this was a beautiful night.
Forever the greatest.

So so so much love 🤍

ONE WEEK of Dreams for Our Daughters and so I’m glad to finally talk about:

THE LIVERPOOL STREET 1901 ANDAZ BALLROOM IN FEBRUARY!

Hosted by @brokenpen_
Engineered by @dukekilljoy
Thank you @sofarlondon !!!! 🤍

Without a SHADOW of a DOUBT, this was one of my favourite moments this entire year and this was such a beautiful night, I wanted to document and celebrate it as much as I could:
Thank you so much to everyone who came, enjoyed, shared and was a part of a beautiful night. To the wonderful @_mrslunaa_ for accompanying on piano, to Davide and Augustus, awesome artists who also performed beautifully that Friday night.

Everyone who was so receptive! Like I said: This was probably my favourite moment this year!
my Neo soul, gospel Disney Princess self got to sing my unreleased songs (including DFOD 🩷), laugh, and enjoy in a gorgeous ballroom. We had a TIME! So grateful!!

Blessed to mark the year boldly & authentically, surrounded by love and doing what I love. A beautiful time and truly more to come. (& happy Black History Month 🤍)
