Nov. 8, 2024 — The Boehwood’s First Dance

Our first concert together was @dorothy, and “Shelter” has always been our song. But we’ve never been able to do slow, intimidate, romantic things for extended periods of time – ESPECIALLY in public – without laughing. Not even on our wedding day. So we knew we had to shake our first dance up a little bit with our other favorite: Wasabi by @littlemix. The end result was a little slow dance followed by a freestyle lip sync battle and finished off with some choreography by @jayrevellcreates and @kashpowell! ❤️‍🔥

Yesterday was world suicide prevention day. This is a poem I wrote last year and fortunately lived long enough to share today. Check in with yourself regularly, recognize when you’re in that space, and talk about it. The world is fucked up. Humanity is hard. In 2025, it is outright exhausting. If you feel this way, you are not alone. 🖤 U.S. Suicide and Crisis Hotline: 9-8-8⁣

Tear me down, build me instead with sticks and stones ⁣
Adorn me with leaves, abandon the clothes ⁣
That refuse to adapt as the body grows ⁣
⁣
Slice me open with a hunting knife ⁣
Separate the human from the life⁣
Drain my veins, fill them with mud ⁣
They never felt right flowing with blood ⁣
⁣
Take the razor, scrape away my hair⁣
Erase the human, it’s only fair⁣
Turn me to soil, let me serve a purpose⁣
Use me to renew the earth’s surface⁣
⁣
I reject my personhood⁣
It’s done me no good⁣
Unleash the rapture⁣
I’m nature’s to capture“⁣

Reclaimed my whimsy somewhere between Worcester, Stratford Upon Avon, and Oxford. 10 days with incredible views, the most magical humans, and enough smiling and laughter to add 10 years to my life (and face). 🤍 ***first of a few dumps, get ready to be sick of me. taken in United Kingdom by @immarkalexander

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my human. You make life so much fun, even when our old and weary bones try to take us out. Here’s to many more penguins, desserts, fire hazards, adventures and… well, pain killers. I love you so damn much, bean! 💚 taken in Victors Oxford by @immarkalexander

Realizing dancing in my 30s is not only harder on my body – I also am not the “choreography sponge” I used to be when it comes to picking up and remembering steps quickly 💀😮‍💨
Won’t stop me though!
