Last nights @ocean_cycles ride started out fun, we went down to Ladock and it was a load of fun downhill, I hadn’t eaten enough so was already hungry. Then the climbs started and I had the wrong top on completely overheating, I get hot flushes enough but oh my gosh this was horrendous!

By the time I got to Mitchell I was starting to feel a bit dizzy and funny, but I pushed on, a few miles later I had to ask if anyone had any food, I had my first ever gel, was told it would kick in, it never seemed too 🙁

It was a long ride back to the shop for me

But at least I got out there and had a go! Just need to ensure I eat more!!! by @imogencycles

The best 21st of September! ❤️

We just rode back to the port and got on a boat, but it was so much fun!

I usually go away from trips away with the holiday blues, but I have the holiday happies, that was the most fun I have had in so long! I can’t wait to do it again next year 🤪

Day 4 - 49 miles around Brittany, had some great pancakes, stopped for 13 churches and came home and cooked a roast! (Well Clare cooked the roast I was the sou chef)

We did make a friend though, this little black cat, they have moved in with us 😂 taken in Plouescat by @imogencycles

Day 3 of tour de churches!

First of all went to the market and it started to rain, mostly just Cornish mizzzle, so we delayed our start and did some faffing before going out to find churches and monuments.

We somehow stumbled into a world war 2 reenactment and played the game of the goose until I got bored 😂 and on to more churches!

We finished the day with a swim in the sea, tea out and a sing song in the hot tub ❤️ another great day on holiday taken in Plouescat by @imogencycles

Day 2 of our adventure around, we disembarked the ferry to a lovely morning for some croissants and exploration around the lanes to get to our Airbnb. We went food shopping and went in the hot tub twice ❤️

Day 1 of our adventure to France, I left home nearly 4 hours before my train to ride 16 miles as I was so excited. Somehow managed to make the 16 mile journey last 3 hours!

Met @clare_brewer85 ready to get on the boat, I was over the top excited, we watched live music, explored the ship and outside, and I hardly slept!

Best trip so far!!! ❤️

Clare beat me on Mario kart 😂 just!!

Well… that’s Ride for Precious Lives 2026 finished. 💙

This year’s ride didn’t quite go the way I’d hoped.

I managed to ride 141 of the 212 miles. The weather was incredibly tough, and despite pushing myself as much as I could, there came a point where I had to accept that I couldn’t keep going in the way I’d planned.

On top of that, I’ve been dealing with some difficult personal issues behind the scenes, which made this challenge even harder than I expected. I’m disappointed because I always set myself high standards, and right now I can’t help but feel like I’ve fallen short.

Part of me feels like I’ve failed this challenge again, and at the moment I’m not even sure whether I’ll be signing up for next year. I think I just need a little time to process everything.

Even though I didn’t complete every mile, I’m proud that I kept going when I could and gave everything I had. Thank you to everyone who supported me, donated, sent messages, cheered me on and believed in me throughout the weekend. It truly meant the world.

Children’s Hospice South West does such incredible work, and I’m grateful to have been able to play a small part in supporting them.

For now, I’m going home for lots of cuddles with Jessie and a bit of rest. ❤️
