VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP TO A BLUE JAYS GAME!!!🧢⚾️

Since I left the cheerleader life, I've always wanted to take my class to a @bluejays game as a field trip to share my love of the game! Unfortunately the timing of our school day and the local bussing schedules made it impossible... or so I thought!

I had done a "Blue Jays Day" last year but decided to kick it up a notch with some cross curricular activity (maybe a little ambitious the week before EQAO but it is what it is😅)

The seat picking lottery was a great way to tie in Probability, and using our @myclassbank economy to purchase seats (100L-500L) at different prices as well as concessions has continued to be an amazing way to solidify our Adding & Subtracting using 3-4 digit numbers👏🏼

The end of our day definitely resulted in chaos for a lot of different reasons (a supply for one period, indoor recesses all day, older kids crashing our party while I was doing coverage, etc) but I'm choosing to remember today as a core memory cheering on my favourite team with my favourite kiddos and finding engaging ways to make school somewhere they want to be🫶🏼

📦ORGANIZATION HACK FREEBIE ALERT📦

Most of the monthly storage labels I've come across were created by American teachers where the months and holidays didn't always line up, so I whipped one up myself in the hopes it makes classroom tear-down a little easier😅

I sized these to fit these 26L @sterilitecorporation storage boxes for my seasonal decor/materials, and the mini labels to fit @michaelsstores 12"x12" Scrapbook boxes for my paper resources!

Comment "STORAGE" for this organization FREEBIE📦

First day of school looks different than it has the last few years, and that's okay🤍

A lot is going on in Ontario Education right now (in addition to my personal life) so I'm coming to terms that some things happen for a reason, and some hardships happen for a season but that can't stop you from building a life you love.

So here's to the start of Year 4 with strong routines, some supply jobs lined up, and a fresh outlook on life to welcome better things to come🫶🏼

#backtoschool season means locking into our self-care habits to prevent teacher burnout!!!🧠🚰

For me, that means being consistent with working out, drinking more water, and managing my sugar intake (iykyk)! I really love how hydrated my skin has felt this summer being able to drink so much water, but mostly I love that my water tastes like iced tea thanks to @ohydration 🤭

All the taste, none of the sugar and aaaaall the benefits!!! It has absolutely changed how much I reach for my water bottle, and actually enjoy drinking my vitamins💪🏼

Now available at all @fortinos.supermarket locations🛒🤍

It's wild how quickly your life can take a complete 180 and absolutely devastate everything you came to know, love, and plan for in the last 10 years. I've always been someone who had a clear vision (and gentle timeline) of my future, goals, and dreams - which I'm now redefining along with who I am, which is both terrifying and freeing.

That being said, I do think the teacher in me knows that the best plans get adjusted along the way, and the result can be even better than what we had previously hoped for - it just takes time and patience.

So here's me starting over. I know not completely - I still have my family, friends, and a career I'm passionate about but if you are going through a similar life change, I'm right there with you... blindsided, heartbroken, but rebuilding🤍 taken in Ontario, Canada by @imperfectprimary
