A few recent invitations from our classroom lately ✨

From sensory play and loose parts to literacy, STEM, inquiry, and imaginative play — these simple setups invited children to explore, create, document, build, problem solve, and collaborate throughout the week.

Many of the materials used are from @scholarschoice mixed with everyday loose parts and classroom resources.

I always love seeing how differently each child interacts with the same materials. 🥰

This Wednesday, we wear RED ♥️ for the Province-Wide Day of Action

Teachers, if you’re planning your outfits for the week, make note! Be sure to connect with your local unit and share your photos with them and online. Let’s keep the conversation going and stand together in support of publicly funded education.

PS. Check out what the lovely folks at @ranknfileeducators have been sharing! Show some love on their posts, grab a few talking points, and tag them on Wednesday!

An Ontario teacher @imperfectprimary says educators feel unheard as legislation proposed by Education Minister @paulcalandra would cap trustees at 12 and change how school boards are run, with major impacts expected for boards like the TDSB.
How do you feel about this? 💬

@imperfectprimary an Ontario kindergarten teacher, says teachers often spend their own money on classroom supplies and feels the $750 credit that @fordnationdougford announced recently doesn’t go far enough. Do you think teachers deserve more support? 💬

✨ Happy New Year! May this new year be a healthy and prosperous one! ✨🎊

Each year, I love being able to share a part of me and my culture with my students, also exposing them to something they may not get a chance to experience firsthand ❤️ Thanks to my mom for the homemade noodles and lucky envelopes for each of my students🧧

Ramadan was also talked about today because a couple of my students will be participating this year for the first time. How exciting for them! That’s why dates made an appearance on our table spread 🤗

I forgot to take a picture with my shirt today but thankfully I still have a picture from last year 🤭

Happy 50th Anniversary Saint Robert CHS. 💚🖤💚

For me it was an amazing way to mark 25 years at a great school. I loved catching up with the colleagues and the “kids” who’ve made teaching at STR a joy!
