Over 75,000 people have flocked to Hunter Noack’s guided classical music experience. Listening through wireless headphones, they explore the most inspiring landscapes across the west, from our National Parks, to working ranches, and historic gardens. Nobody expects to find a Steinway in Bronson Canyon. But there it was, headphones handed out to anyone who wandered close enough, a rattlesnake minding its own business nearby and a pianist, Hunter Noack, making the whole hillside sound like a concert hall.

Last weekend, one of our recent Classical Californians, Hunter Noack brought his piano to Griffith Park for an amazing performance beneath the Hollywood Sign taking classical music beyond the concert hall and into one of LA’s most iconic landscapes. 🎶🌴

🌱 🎵 This weekend, at the Griffith Park in the heart of Los Angeles, I had the chance to take part in the @inalandscape experience. A series of outdoor concerts launched to reconnect people with nature. Founded in 2016 by @hunternoack, In a Landscape has presented more than 350 concerts across Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, California, New York, and Canada. I would love to see them performing in Québec during a future season 💙 Thank you for the incredible experience, even underneath a concert piano! and making classical music accessible to all! taken in Griffith Park by @inalandscape

— On Friday, Sept. 25, Elysian Park was proud to host the first Southern California performance of @inalandscape the acclaimed "Classical Music in the Wild" nonprofit program.

Pianist @hunternoack, a graduate of USC's Thornton School of Music, performed a 90-min. selection of classic and contemporary pieces on his 9-ft. Steinway while audience members listened on wireless headphones. He invited guests to the stage for a sing-along section and to experience vibrations from the piano while beneath it. Listeners were encouraged to stroll around Bishop Canyon as the moon rose. Departing audience members described the evening as "just magical!”

— On Friday evening Bishop Canyon will replace the traditional concert hall for a performance by USC Thornton School Alumni Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano.

Listen through wireless headphones while wandering with classical music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.

Don’t forget to pack your picnic and bring your blanket. Well-behaved dogs on 6ft. leash are welcome. We’re following leave-no-trace litter practices.

San Francisco and Los Angeles are home to Classical California, so we’re especially excited to welcome pianist, @inalandscape founder, and @uscthornton alumnus Hunter Noack back to LA.

This week on Classical Californians, Hunter shares how he takes classical music beyond the concert hall and into the great outdoors. His Griffith Park performances this weekend are sold out, and due to high demand, a third LA performance has been added this Friday at Elysian Park! 🎶
