Surprise!! 🫶🏼 I’m so excited to announce that I’m officially a Pilates instructor! @pilatesandii

Throughout chiropractic school, I’ve fallen more in love with movement, how the body functions, and the connection between the mind and body. And after growing up as a competitive dancer, I’ve definitely missed the choreography, music, and creativity that came along with it.

Pilates feels like the perfect combination of both worlds, while also giving me the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge of the human body.

I’m so excited for this next chapter, to start teaching, and to help you all feel a little more in alignment 😉✨🤸🏽‍♀️ by @inalignment.alyssa

Hi everyone & Welcome to my chiropractic account!🤗

Incase you’re new here my name is Alyssa Hernandez, I’m currently 23 & just finished up my first year of chiropractic school! I’m currently a term 4/12 student at Southern California University of Health Sciences.

After high school, I went to riverside city college where I earned 3 associates degrees in kinesiology Health and Wellness, Social and Behavioral Studies, and Math and Science🤓. (If you’re thinking about community college do it!!) Then, I got accepted into SCUHS for their undergraduate program (not a ton of student know they offer this!). Where I earned my Bachelor’s in Health Sciences, while getting a head start on some first term chiropractic courses! And now I’m here!! 📚

Ultimately I wanna help people and hopefully change at least one person’s life! My end goal is to open up my own practice🤞🏼. I would love to be a whole family practice while specializing in pediatrics👶🏼🤍 ! I would also love to travel to homes for those who are unable to travel to an office for whatever reason!

Im so excited to learn more throughout this program! So come along as I share my journey of becoming Dr. Alyssa Hernandez D.C. 👩🏽‍⚕️🫀 by @inalignment.alyssa

Here’s a little glimpse into how I incorporate CBR into my study routine.📚🫀

One of my favorite ways to study is using @chiroboardreview for practice questions, reviewing concepts, to figure out where I need to spend more time.

Still figuring out how to balance school, studying for boards, and time for things I love. Some days are definitely easier than others.

Ever wonder what muscle you’re actually working in Pilates? 👀✨

Introducing Muscles Behind the Move — a series where I break down the anatomy behind some of your favorite Pilates exercises. 🧠💪🏼

Because understanding why we do a movement is just as important as doing it. 🤍

Which moves should I break down next?🤸🏽‍♀️
