Bāze has a special tradition for sharing food. On August 1st at Bistro. Jūra ir pārvērtēta, our longtime friend, chef @inarsbirmanis , was the culinary mastermind that ensured all of our 150 guests had the chance to experience the joy of sharing a meal together. From juicy meat patties to the sweetest desserts, he delivered it all.

Our story with Inārs goes back to 2022, when Bāze held its very first festival, Fāze Vol.1. It was also the beginning of our first collaboration - a moment when Bāze was still taking shape as a place for experimentation, creativity and bringing people together. Food became part of that shared experience from the very beginning, and Inārs brought his own approach to the table: generous, playful and rooted in the joy of creating something for people to experience together.

Now, for the second year in a row, we are blessed to have Inārs as the creative force behind Bāze’s communal feast as part of the @majaskafejnicas movement.

Šogad mūsu augusta pasākuma nosaukums ir “jūra ir pārvērtēta”. Kāpēc tā? Jo izrādās, ka īpašums pie jūras nenozīmē, ka uz to var tā vienkārši aiziet. Kamēr mūsu kaimiņi sargā savus privātīpašumus, pašvaldība apstrādā mūsu trīs gadu laikā rakstītos iesniegumus, mēs turpinām radīt un priecāties ar vai bez jūras!

Aizvadītajā nedēļas nogalē Bāzē savas durvis plaši vēra vaļā ilgi gaidītais pop-up restorāns “Betons & Kartupelis”
•
“Rīts pēc. Nekas vairs nebūs, kā agrāk, “ kāds teica no rīta (pēc). Sākot ar Ināra Bīrmaņa gastronomisko piedzīvojumu 5 kārtās, 5 dažādās lokācijās, beidzot maģiskajiem klavierspēļu koncertiem, kolektīvo saulrieta gājienu līdz jūrai, brīvdabas kino un vienoto “Lai dzīvo sveiks” izpildījumu atzīmējot namamātes dzimšanas dienu, pasākums mūs visus ir apbūris savu neaizmirstamo pieskārienu.

Paldies @inarsbirmanis par kulinārijas šedevriem un asprātīgo piesitienu - gaspačo martini glāzēs bija jaunums visiem klātesošajiem. Paldies brīvprātīgajiem @mpavasaris un @k.balode, un jauniešiem - Martam, Elzai, Hugo, Danielam un Grietai - kas cītīgi un nepagurstoši visas dienas garumā aprūpēja 130 viesus. Let’s Meet at the Exhibition
•
While designing the scenography for the @flera_birmane show Fading, we weren’t just building a space - we were crafting an experience. A multi-layered one. The varying-height platforms don’t just shift perspectives and define focal points - they serve multiple purposes. One of them? Hosting an exclusive private dining event by Inārs Birmanis.
•
The change in levels creates an intimate, sunken atmosphere - and yet, being in a street-facing window display is completely exposed. This unannounced presence, where passersby peer in with curiosity, gives the guests a subtle yet undeniable feeling of being on exhibit.
•
The central aisle running between the seats breaks from traditional service layout. It draws full attention to the chef, creating a direct, almost theatrical connection with each presentation. It's not just practical, it's a performance in itself.
