LINCUS is a new name for us, which is always exciting because it means you get to assess the sounds on their own merit with no extraneous baggage. Whoever is behind these betas on Slabs knows how to cook up heavy kicks.

‘Feel The Rhythm’
Has a swagger and syncopation to it that is perfect for this label, with bold bass and hints of Kerri Chandler’s kick to the kicks, all run through with some woozy late-night synth work.

‘Pazazz’
Is another blend of low-end kicks and sleazy synths with some filtered vocals adding a touch of human warmth to what is a vibey cut.

Last weekend @intothewoodsfestival_uk was something special!

Such a privilege to be able to experience music/art/food/nature all in one intimate setting. Seeing all your mates perform, making new friends and really connect with everyone. Minimal phones, just heads down hands up business all weekend. No huge divide between artists & punters, everyone just on a level and vibing together.

Hats off to @martwinds & @tomhowell and all the crew for the hard work put in to build this to what it is now 👏🏻 toll on 10 years next year!

Was very honoured to get to play some records on the @waxmaterial stage with my brother @its_general_vibes which was such a wicked stage all weekend!! Thank you 🙏🏼

Also big up to the @th3rd.uk podcast crew! Great to meet you all and what a great addition to the festival. Quality chats all weekend with all the artists & promoters 🔥

Such a good feeling to finally get my hands on a copy of our new LINCUS - SLABS007 EP 🥩

It’s been really overwhelming seeing the support we’ve had on this record and so grateful for getting sent lots of videos this week of all you legends who have bought the record! Especially when I’ve been away working so had to wait all week to get home and open my copy 😂🙌🏼 so big thank you for paying your hard earned cash to support our music and keeping me going this week excited to get home and give it a spin!

We had so much fun making this EP from sampling old records and playing a lot of the parts on hardware, old school jamming, and I feel it really shows in the music! Can’t beat making tunes that way when you love the process!

Thank you once again to the dons @brawther @tristagram_da_cunha for giving us the opportunity and a perfect platform for our music! Always on point with sick artwork and little details which make a huge difference such as personal touches with the Welsh flag colours for the record 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and ‘Cardiff House Mafia’ engraving 😍 Forever grateful 🙏🏼

Expect to see more low slung and sleaze coming from the LINCUS camp very soon!

Some snippets of a live jam from this weekend! Nice to get back using the hardware. For this one I set myself some parameters of only using the korg ER1 and mikrokorg for all the elements of this track and just simply building in layers. Nothing over complicated just raw grooves, basslines and arpeggiated rhythms.
