What if someone created a chocolate company called “Jesus Chocolate”?

This was the comparison shared with me by a Bribri spiritual authority when speaking about the commercial use of the sacred name Sibö.

This is an invitation to explore the difference between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation and why listening to living Indigenous peoples matters.

What do you think? Where is the line between appreciation and appropriation?

Whatever's happening in our insides gets reflected on the outside. The wars, the climate crisis, the forest fires in Kalimantan. That's not to dismiss the responsibility and blame that belongs with the ruling class or the broligarchy. It's about widening the lens again. Remembering where we come from and what role we can still play, through our own ecology, our own actions.

We tend to think of healing as private. But the separation was never just from ourselves or the people close to us.

We got disconnected from Mother Nature the same way we got disconnected from our own bodies. Same wound, different place.

So when we sit with our grief, or our shadow, or whatever we're trying to illuminate through the medicines, we're not only doing that for ourselves. We're helping heal our mother too, and stepping back into remembrance. From there, into stewardship and guardianship of life.

How do we do that? Global problems feel so far away and so big that it's easy to think nothing we do matters. It starts with relationship. India talks about putting bare feet on the ground and just sitting there. No ceremony required for that part… just presence. Feel how the earth has been listening the whole time, waiting for us to remember how to talk to her.

Try it and see how it feels for you.

¿Independencia para quién? 🇨🇷

—

Independence for whom?

Before Costa Rica existed as a Republic, our peoples were already here.

For me, September 15th is also a day to remember that freedom does not begin with a date.

Freedom is also resistance.
It is remembering who we are and where we come from.
It is protecting Mother Earth, our seeds, and the knowledge that has survived from generation to generation.

Perhaps today we can ask ourselves:

What does it truly mean to be free if we do not protect the land that makes our lives possible?

May our independence also mean remembering, resisting, and protecting life for the generations to come.

Holding space for another begins with knowing how to hold ourselves.

When we learn to recognize when we have moved away from our center, we can begin to understand what is ours, what belongs to another, and how to return to a place of presence.

The Medicine Wheel can become a map for this awareness, helping us recognize where we are and how we are showing up when holding space for others.

Do you know when you’ve moved off your center and how do you return to it ?

Comment **SPACE** and I’ll send you the full teaching on using the Medicine Wheel for Space Holding.

What if not everything you carry actually began with you?

The way you learned to love.
To stay quiet.
To keep the peace.
To be strong.
To make yourself smaller.
To hold everything together.

We inherit more than our features and our names.

We can inherit ways of surviving, belonging, relating and seeing ourselves that have travelled through our families for generations.

Some of what we inherit are beautiful gifts.

And some things may be asking us to look closer, pull them up by the root, and decide whether we still want to carry them forward.

What if medicine was never something separate from us?

The Earth has always been teaching us through relationship, through the body, through plants, through our ancestors, through the way we listen and remember.

For me, Earth Medicine is not simply something we consume.

It is something we live.

Through relationship.
Through reciprocity.
Through presence.

This October, I’ll be opening a new space to explore these conversations and practices together.

Earth Medicine.

I’ll share more in my stories this week if you feel curious to sit with us.

Can we expand without abandoning what matters to us?

Growth can bring more opportunities, more visibility, more choices, more possibilities.

But expansion also asks us to become clearer about what we value.

What am I saying yes to?
What am I no longer available for?
What actually feels aligned with the life I want to create?

Years ago, I created a little ebook called Unleash Your Full Potential: Living with Intention around some of these same questions.

It’s free, and if this conversation resonates, you can find it through the link in my bio.

What is one value you’re not willing to abandon as you expand?

Life is cycles.

We are definitely being asked as humanity to start balancing our feminine energy in this dance within us. The masculine energy is great and needed and there is a time and space for it.

The womb has been a symbol of feminine energy as this is where it all started in the womb of the cosmos this force of oneness, split into polarities to bring forth manifestation, creation.

#healingjourney is about bringing balance within and therefore without. It’s time to make more room to be in touch with our feminine energy and be part of this new cycle, a new awakening.

It is of importance we return to the ways of the “mother”
A unitication of our bodies, soul, original nature to bring back the essence of the #womb the essence of intuition sync with the resonance of the mother 🌎 - we are the children of the light and the ones we have been waiting for.

#spiritualawakening of the #feminineenergy within

Thank you for the spaces created for me share my journey and learnings @nicole_rewild
