Let us explain about buffaloes!

In northern Vietnam, buffaloes have traditionally been an important part of rural life.
They helped farmers work the land, especially in rice fields, and were considered a valuable asset for families.

What’s the difference?
Both are raised for meat and livestock, but buffaloes have a particularly strong connection to rice farming because they are well adapted to wet, muddy fields.

In Ha Giang, you’ll often see buffaloes and cows wandering through the mountains.
For many local families, livestock is also a form of security and wealth.
