I'm gonna be helping out at this gorgeous community event run by @transresistanceactionnetwork on Monday night! Come along, it's free! A selection of radical crafts, boardgames, snacks, building connections and community and there is a protest/March stewarding workshop if you want to get involved too!!! Trans Day of Remembrance decompression space and vigil stream

📍Watershed Room W2
⏰ Thursday 20th November 7-9.30pm

Please join us as we mark Trans Day of Remembrance by coming together as a community to remember those we have lost and dream of a better future.

We will have crafts and snacks as well as a quiet space to decompress. There will be a mixture of beanbags, floor space and chairs for everyone to sit on. Feel free to just drop-in and out of the space as you like.

We will be live-streaming the Trans Pride Bristol vigil that is taking place at St George’s from 7.30 for anyone who is unable to access the main vigil or would rather access this from a decompression space.

We ask that everyone wears a Covid mask - please bring your own and we will have some on the door.

We’ll be confirming final details next week, watch this space!

This is a collaboration with @transpridebristol and @bristoltfc, check out their pages to see what else is happening to mark Trans Day of Remembrance.

Access information: Watershed is wheelchair accessible and there is a lift up to the room. Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome and W2 has an induction loop available.

It was so gorgeous facilitating my first session with @queer.life.drawing with the incredible @valentinapazhux to model, they were so grounded, strong and elegant! Such a calming environment to be in! I look forward to the next! Textural Monoprinting 2.30-3.30pm Bridge Farm for @busymindshub 27th September! Come along!! Link for tickets in the bio only £5! Gonna be a mish mash of fun things coming together! So many other gorgeous workshops running too! Get stuck in!! A gorgeous fundraiser for a wonderful creature!

We will be creating posters/cards/collages by using inkpads and Play-Doh to monoprint with items I've gathered for you earlier from around the farm, such as leaves and plants also fabrics to work with and strange found objects that will make fun textures! Sustainable and obscure urban foraging baby! This is to practice slowing down, seeing the world through a different lens and to find the beauty in even the weirdest bit of metal you found in the street and creating art with it, bring along your fun textures if you feel inspired! It's going to be a sensory delight with squishing and printing!!

I had the absolute bloody pleasure of facilitating an Active Recovery session at @bristoltreecraft last week and it was such a gorgeous balance of silliness and laughter and peace and grounding, I feel very grateful to have been a part of it! We used clay, made nature prints from foraged plants and collaged and combined all the elements! Delicious! This quote that one of the members picked out really resonated.. 'things can be more simple' I've had some major life shifts recently, am in the process of stripping back and I'm keen to get back to facilitation, prioritising creative health and practicing what I preach! Throwback to a protest sign making drop in workshop with young people and adults at one of the @bristoltrinity centre's community garden parties 2 years ago! Loads of humans came through as I took over the whole section 2 tables baby! Look at all those bums on seats! Near, far, wherever you are!
Absolutely loved being a part of this, I love getting stuck into projects and pop ups, especially with political and social progression themes as it opens up some really interesting conversations, can share perspectives, learn something new and when talking about it with young people really start to unpick and understand your own points of view and at some of Bristols iconic creative, cultural and community bedrocks! I had an absolutely gorgeous time Sunday running a drop in session throughout the day of clay reliefs and using the textures and imprints from various leaves, plants and wood to create textures for @bristoltreecraft community Sunday session at @bridgefarm_bristol such a gorgeous and calming environment to be in, tasty food, loads of gorgeous crafting and free cake I managed to snap up a little mouthful before it all disappeared! It was so gorgeous to chat with everyone and heard loads about climate projects and how people approach activism in their different fields and their take on it which was just bloody lovely! Cafe Kino is a community space and vegan cafe located in the heart of stokes croft. we are non-profit workers co-op and strive to be a safe radical sapce for all and as such we want to continue to nurture a community-driven space of solidarity and creativity.
