Bandcamp Friday is tomorrow so grab these two new CDs. Remastered limited edition @seasontorisk “Men Are Monkeys. Robots Win” digipak CD limited to 300 copies and a new repress of @spiritofversailles605 “Discography” 2xCD — using a completely new remaster from 2024. Make sure you see Spirit Of Versailles next weekend if you live in Portland or Tacoma. Find me at the merch table drinking Rainiers. Much love to all who support the label as we celebrate twenty five years of Init Records. Goddamn. Bandcamp link in bio. by @initrecords

@seasontorisk is hitting the road with @unsanenyc and I’m jealous to all who get to see these two bands play together at these dates. We made a limited digipak remastered reissue of the third S2R CD “Men Are Monkeys, Robots Win” that they’ll have at the merch table at these shows… we’ll post more about that CD later for those who can’t make the shows. by @initrecords

25 years ago THIS MONTH I pressed the first vinyl release on my record label Init Records. 500 copies of a split 7” between two Sioux Falls hardcore bands, The Spirit Of Versailles and Caligari (RIP Roadie). Pressing a CD made the label seem real but doing the first vinyl releases was really special. Sending a money order and master CD and paper order form off to United Record Pressing (there was no online record ordering in 2001), waiting for test pressings, sending the postcard back to United approving tests, then waiting for the vinyl to show up and hand assembling (and hand numbering) 500 copies. If you are in the region, help celebrate 25 years of Init Records this Friday in Minneapolis with The Spirit Of Versailles, Sinking Steps Rising Eyes, Motee and Unsouling. It would mean the world to me to see my friends come out and support and celebrate the label and its bands and friends bands. by @initrecords

What a great weekend in Minneapolis! @seasontorisk @greatfallsnoise and @primitivemandoom Three amazing bands I’ve been fortunate enough to put out records for on Init Records all put on incredible shows this weekend (GF and S2R at the great @caterwaulfest ). I didn’t take too many pictures because I wanted to watch the bands not my phone but I took these three. by @initrecords
