Feminine facial balancing is about more than adding volume—it’s about understanding proportion, structure, and the relationship between facial thirds. ✨ One key principle I assess: bizygomatic width > bigonial width. In other words, the width across the cheekbones should generally be greater than the width across the angles of the jaw when our goal is to preserve or enhance a traditionally feminine facial shape. But no two faces are the same. 👏🏼 Before the syringe ever touches the skin, I’m assessing: • Facial width + proportions • Cheek projection and contour • Chin shape + projection • Jawline and bigonial width • Profile + facial thirds • How every treatment will affect the face as a whole Facial assessment is everything. Why did Hannah Berner’s masseter treatment lead to a wonky smile? Let’s break down the facial anatomy behind what went wrong. The Anatomy: The masseter is a large, deep chewing muscle. Sitting right on top of it is the risorius, which is a thin muscle responsible for pulling the corners of your mouth outward when you smile. What Causes the “Wonky Smile”: ➡️Depth & Placement: If the injection is too superficial or placed too far forward, the toxin can easily affect the risorius muscle, limiting your ability to smile fully. ➡️Product Spread: Dysport tends to have a wider diffusion profile than Botox. In precision-critical areas like the lower face, product choice, correct dilution, and deep placement are essential to prevent migration.
