i designed and handmade my own business cards with linocut ♡ - as a printmaker, i thought "why pay someone to do this for me?" well for one, it took two weeks and $20 to make just 18 cards. it was wonderful. swipe through to see photos of the process, these are printed with oil-based ink on 600gsm watercolour paper. #linocut #linocutprint taken in Tāmaki Makaurau by @inkdogshirts

a5 skeleton! this design, as well as the "t4t" and "smoking causes blindness" designs were experiments with grey, mounted linoleum. and the reason i've not printed shirts with them lately is they've warped with repeated washing and no amount of pressure makes them print flat anymore. managed to squeeze some life by laying paper on top and burnishing from back! but yeah for the sake of longevity i'm only using soft lino now taken in Tāmaki Makaurau by @inkdogshirts

new a5 design! lately i've noticed, all my adult life i've traded pain and exhaustion for autonomy. i've seen the treasure of awareness so often contain within it a deep, uncomfortable presence. but the experience is sweeter in a way because of it. every moment whispers of mortality, but in that mortality is the richness of being. it all bears a cost, and so i accept all it pays for. the discomfort and the relief, the pain and the joy. i will continue to live and taste and make as long as i can, because really it's all a gift taken in Tāmaki Makaurau by @inkdogshirts

like victor frankenstein i have made a monster i can't help but look upon with disdain, though i will succeed where he failed. im sorry to say that gay dog is being put down via electric chair. however, therein its still-twitching and malignant corpse, the charred fruits of inkdog lay sweet and decadent. which is to say: i'll be changing the name and incorporating some new design and printing techniques when i can afford to do so (equipment 'spensive). but if you want something with a little classic gay dog sauce on it just let me know. taken in Tāmaki Makaurau by @inkdogshirts
