✨Meet the Reader✨

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a little about me, so HI! And thank you for being here! This place is purely my creative outlet and a space I can talk about books with friends 🩷

The “vibe” here changes all the time depending on my mood and what I’m inspired by, so I guess just don’t be surprised if there’s no consistent theme 😂

Either way, we’re here to talk books and have a good time 😘📖

💬 say hi in the comments and tell me the most random fact about you that you can think of 🤭 by @inked_fictions

What can I say, I’m a gal who needs instant gratification… and the feeling I get from moving my little blocks is borderline inappropriate 😮‍💨

Another trip to New England comes to a close 🦞🍩🚠

We ate so much food (tons of donuts), walked more than I ever have in my life and drove over 900 miles while we were there between Boston, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.

I found 6 new bookstores and a new love for cannoli. Until next time ❤️ by @inked_fictions

Currently reading…

🩷Never Been Tamed by @corinnemichaels
🖤Anathema by Keri Lake
❤️1984 by George Orwell

I’m halfway through Never Been Tamed and I’m falling in love with Infinity Ridge all over again! This one came out today and I was lucky enough to get a head start on it thanks to an advanced copy from @sourcebookscasa!

I’m tackling another buddy read with @gingers_booksandmemes because Anathema has been on our list for a year now 💀😅 and 1984 is our Sept/Oct Classic LIT🔥 book club pick! Which I’m excited because it’s literally the book that I’ve owned for 10+ years and still haven’t read 😅

Happy October, Happy (belated) Threshing Day and happy birthday to me! 🧡🤎

Since there are no rules today, I’m rotting like a gremlin and will not be showing my face… I’m not even mad about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ honestly, 30 was dog shit so I’m just setting my expectations accordingly for 31 and starting off doing whatever I want: aka NOTHING.

Which means I started Threshing Day today so between that and playing switch, I’ll be one happy gal 😉

Alright, October, please make it a good one 🤞🏻 by @inked_fictions

A hunchback, a vampire and a familiar walk into a bar… 😅🤣

Hahahaha okay sorry, I had to throw at least one dad joke in there.

✨ARC REVIEW✨ out Sept. 22!
As soon as I read the description for The Henchperson’s Guide to Unionizating by @marshalljmooreauthor I was so in! And let me tell you it delivered 🙂‍↕️

Do I have problems if I say this is my kind of cozy fantasy?💀 because this was not only hilarious but also so endearing and heartfelt!! If you loved Assistant to the Villain for those reasons then you should 100% read this!

It’s basically about Igor who is the evil doctor’s assistant, but he doesn’t feel valued and he wants to help with more important things than grave robbing and stitching together the subjects limbs.

Wellllll when another angry mob runs them out of town, they end up in an abandoned manor with vampires, a witch and a cat as housemates. And it just keeps getting more interesting from there 😅

💭The verdict? Highly recommend this one 🙂‍↕️ Did I mention that @the.ray.porter is narrating the audiobook?! It’s going to be literal perfection 🤌🏻

Thank you so much @bantambooks for a gifted advanced copy! ❤️ and @marshalljmooreauthor thank you for giving us Igor, Cornelia, Grim and Spare 🥹 I will love them forever and ever! by @inked_fictions

I can’t think of anything to post anymore and I also can’t seem to care 😂

I look at all of my friends super creative posts and it brings me so much joy to see what everyone comes up with but I swear my brain is on strike 🪧🚫

I feel like this happens to all of us and I see the burnout on bookstagram more often lately… it’s so hard to get caught up on trends and keeping up with everyone else, not to mention the gigantic mass of books being published that give you fomo if you don’t read it now!

Anyway, I’m here to chat about books like always but if you don’t see me post a lot it’s just cause I’ve got nothin 😂

Here’s your PSA to keep doin you and stop worrying about everyone else! by @inked_fictions

Happy reading season to all who celebrate! 🏈📖

On Sundays my husband and his friends watch football in the basement all day which means ME time from 12-7pm 😏 there’s no better background noise for reading than NFL…

Today I started off playing some @moonlightpeaks, then baked some chocolate chip cookies and now I’m parking it on the couch to read… pure bliss I tell ya 😌

💬Are you celebrating reading season or are you actually watching the games? 😅 (listen I have tried… I know when to cheer and when to boo…)

I MET PENN COLE! ❤️‍🔥

Last night was amazing, I’m so glad she came to Cleveland!! I speed listened to the rest of Heat so I wouldn’t get any spoilers but Penn, being the queen she is, made sure nothing was spoiled in case there were new readers to the series there or readers who just started 👑

She was an absolute gem in person (even though she questioned who would live to the end of the series… multiple times…) and I still love her even though one of her favorite characters is Henry 🙃

Peep @rachaels_reads_ and a rare photo of the (partial) book club all together ❤️

I can’t wait to dive into Burn ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 by @inked_fictions
