Part of talking with @ryanedwardparrish from @hopesfall @inparallelband @celebrity.band was hearing how becoming a dad changed the way he sees himself.

In this clip Ryan talks about losing his job, being stuck in his own head about it, and then hearing his daughter tell him:

“Hey, you’ll get another job.”

Sometimes kids can cut through all the noise and remind you of something simple you forgot to believe yourself. And a pure love and support that speaks to your core.

• @friendclubrecs @furnacefest series 2022 •

We’re thrilled to announce the limited cassette release of the album ‘Lovesick’ from our previous band Celebrity. Limited to 100 copies and only available at FF2022.

The album turns 20 years old next year, so when @friendclubrecs reached out about a possible limited release for a fest we played in 2002 and 2003, it felt like a no brainer.

‘Lovesick’ saw the addition of @ryanedwardparrish to Celebrity’s strong core of @lance_thomas_black, @jessefine, and @jmattfine - rounded out by producer @mark_andrew_nash. There was a lot of energy around the band during this album, and the band promptly hit the road in support - opening shows for the likes of @thejulianatheory, @copelandband, @hopesfall, @everytimeidie, @thebeautifulmistakeband, @bayside, @bryceavary among others. Listening back, we’re still very proud of this record and stand beside the songs that feel both hopeful and longing for more.

Hello friends and apologies for the radio silence. We needed to take some time away to handle some important things in our family lives.

We spent the entire past weekend in the studio shaking off the dust for EP3. Here’s a clip from the session. We thought it would be good to reset and to just play loudly with no agenda - and it was indeed good for the soul.

This is how many of our songs start - in a kind of stream of consciousness jam where we let ourselves explore ideas without fear of judgement. We’re leaning into what feels good and authentic to us in the moment, and we’re trying not to force anything. There’s already enough BS out in the world, and we just want to create something that feels real to us, and hopefully to you as well. We promise we will check in again with you sooner. Hope you are all thriving.
