Throwback to a Noe Valley design-build project we completed a few years back. This garden is really an extension of the home, with a bench and fire pit area, spa (hidden behind the concrete wall), faux lawn for the dog to run and play, and a few seating areas. Great for San Francisco summer (if it ever arrives). We also do the ongoing maintenance of this garden. taken in Noe Valley by @insideoutsf

Check out some of the 3D images of our Hillsborough landscape design project. The property is located on an incredible lot with lots of native Coastal Live Oak Trees, Bay Laurels, and Pines. We wove these existing elements into a new design that has a large pool, fire pit area, ADU, and outdoor dining area. Plans have been submitted for permitting and we are excited to see this project come to life. taken in Hillsborough, California by @insideoutsf

We redesigned this Pacific Heights backyard to have a built-in spa, custom bench and fire pit, and outdoor dining area. Scroll through to see the 3D concept design nighttime visuals and the built finished product. Furniture, plants, shade sails, custom cushions and other furnishings are still in the works. #outdoorlivingspace taken in Pacific Heights by @insideoutsf

We designed and installed this front garden for a corner property in Alameda. Swipe through to go from the 3D concept design to the actual built garden. We removed obstructive brick walls to create open usable space. The plants are a mix of low maintenance drought tolerant natives and Mediterranean plants that attract pollinators and wildlife, and they still need some time to fill in. Throwback to an Outer Sunset design-build project we did a few years ago, and to when we did all designs by hand. Large circular fire pit and restaurant-style heaters on the back pergola to stay warm. taken in Outer Sunset by @insideoutsf

Inside Out offers 2D and 3D design and specializes in creating awesome outdoor living spaces. 3D design is a great tool because it ensures the landscape designer, the homeowner, and the contractor (and crew) can all visualize the finished product, making the project implementation a much smoother process. Concept design and installation of a sunny garden in the Outer Mission, San Francisco. Look forward to watching the plants fill in during springtime. We planted a mix of herbs, lemons, grapes, figs, pomegranates, passionfruit, and loquats for harvest. taken in Outer Mission by @insideoutsf

We transformed this sunken area into a cozy chill zone with a daybed, fruit trees, and meandering steppers. We offer full 2D and 3D design services so you can visualize your outdoor space before the installation begins. Tropical vibes in this Richmond District, San Francisco backyard that we designed and installed around five years ago. Before we installed the garden the yard felt enclosed by neighboring buildings. Now it’s quite the green oasis. taken in Central Richmond, San Francisco by @insideoutsf

San Francisco might be an urban environment, but that doesn't mean your living spaces can't feel connected to the nature and outdoors. Our team exists to build interior spaces that extend seamlessly into exterior landscape spaces like patios and yards, so that individuals like you can love where they live. taken in San Francisco, California by @insideoutsf
