Tomo’s backyard had all the challenges living by the beach in San Francisco present: salty air, wind, fog, gophers, and sand on sand. Instead of fighting it, we went with light stone to reflect what light we do have, redwood that we’ll let silver out, and embraced the reality that this garden lives on a dune.
