1357 km/h. Jumped from space.A human broke physics.

In 2012, Felix Baumgartner stood at the edge of space.
39 km above Earth.
He took one step forward.
And fell.
1,357 km/h in freefall — faster than the speed of sound.
No plane. No engine.
Just a human body defying everything science said was impossible.
He became the first person in history to break the sound barrier with his body alone.
NASA used his data to build safer systems for future space missions.
One jump changed science forever.

In 1917, a 67-word letter was written — and an entire nation lost everything !

In 1917, British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour wrote a 67-word letter to Lord Walter Rothschild — the Balfour Declaration — promising a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, a land Britain did not own, and where Arab populations had lived for centuries.

At the same time, Britain made a conflicting promise to Arab leader Sharif Hussein of Mecca: support Britain against the Ottoman Empire and receive independence, including Palestine. Arabs fought in good faith — but both promises collided, and trust was broken.

Palestine was never empty. Muslims, Christians, and Jews had coexisted there for generations. But after World War II, the Holocaust under Adolf Hitler killed 6 million Jews, leaving survivors displaced and searching for refuge.

In 1947, the United Nations proposed partition: 56% of land for Jews (then ~33% of the population) and 43% for Arabs (then ~67% of the population). Arabs rejected it as unjust; the decision moved forward regardless.

On 14 May 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared the State of Israel. The next day marked the Nakba — “The Catastrophe” — when around 700,000 Palestinians were displaced, many never allowed to return. Villages were destroyed, families scattered, and decades of statelessness began.

In 1967, further occupation extended into Gaza and the West Bank, tightening control over remaining Palestinian territories.

Today, Gaza, home to over 2.3 million people, faces severe humanitarian crisis, restricted movement, and repeated cycles of destruction and loss of civilian life.

It began with a 67-word letter in 1917 — and the consequences are still unfolding. by @insighttweets_x

Trump claimed Italy's PM Meloni "begged" him for a photo at the G7 Summit in France.

Meloni called it — "completely fabricated.

The two were once the closest US-ally relationship in all of Europe.

In April, Meloni refused to support Trump's Iran war — the friendship broke.

G7 was their first meeting since the split — Trump told Italian TV "I felt sorry for her, so I took the photo."

Italy's top diplomat cancelled his US trip the same day.

Meloni released a video calling Trump's claims "totally made up."

She then fired directly at Trump — "Neither I nor Italy ever beg."

Trump doubled down on NBC — "That's true."

His closest European ally. Humiliated publicly. And she hit back.

Your phone is at 100%. But do you know who pays the price?

🇨🇩 In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, children have been reported working in dangerous cobalt mines for as little as $1–2 a day.

The same mineral powering our smartphones can come at the cost of a child’s childhood.

A 2014 UNICEF estimate found around 40,000 children working in mines in southern DRC, many of them in cobalt mining. This is a historical estimate, not a confirmed count of children working there today.

While we scroll, stream, and upgrade our devices, some children are risking their health just to survive.

They should be holding books, not breaking rocks.

The world calls it technological progress. But progress for whom, if a child must suffer for it?

The next time you charge your phone, remember: behind the convenience of modern technology, there may be a human cost we rarely see.

$How Does a Lens Turn Scattered Light Into a Sharp Focus? 🔬 This simple optics setup shows how light really behaves when it meets glass. On the left, a laser source sends out three parallel beams. As they pass through a convex lens, each beam is redirected inward, and all three cross at one spot known as the focal point. 🔍 Why does this happen? Light changes speed when it moves from air into glass, and that makes it change direction. Because the lens surface is curved, each beam hits it at a slightly different angle and bends by a different amount. The result is that all of them converge together. Other lenses in the same kit show different effects. A concave lens spreads light apart, while a prism splits it into separate colors. Setups like this are used in labs to explain refraction, focal length, image formation, and dispersion. What looks like three plain red lines is the same principle behind cameras, microscopes, telescopes, and glasses. 📷🔭👓 #physics #optics #refraction #viral #reels by @insighttweets_x$

Light is the fastest thing in the universe. So why can't it escape a black hole?

It's not a speed problem. It's a geometry problem.
Gravity isn't a force pulling light back. Mass bends spacetime, and light just follows the straightest path available, called a geodesic. Near a black hole, that bending becomes so extreme that at the event horizon, every possible path points inward.

Light doesn't slow down either. Locally, it always travels at c. The universe isn't breaking its own rules. The rules themselves are what make escape impossible.

Think of it like this: you can't outrun tomorrow, no matter how fast you move. Inside a black hole, "outward" is no longer a direction in space. It's like trying to go back in time.

This is why black holes aren't a flaw in physics. They're one of Einstein's most spectacular predictions, confirmed by gravitational waves and the first image of a black hole's shadow.

You've been told Elon Musk started Tesla.
The record says otherwise.

In 2003, Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Elon wasn't there.
A year later, he wrote a $6.5 million cheque, 87% of the entire round, and took the chairman's seat.
By 2007, the founder and CEO was removed by the board.

By 2008, the chairman was CEO.
Martin says the board voted behind his back. Elon says it was unanimous, because of Roadster delays.
Then in 2009, Martin sued. The settlement quietly turned two founders into five.

Funny how a company's origin story can change once the lawyers get involved.
We're not telling you what to believe. We're telling you what's on record.

The man who started it was gone before the first car was delivered. Coincidence, or just business?

People in Japan looked up and saw a line of lights in the night sky. It wasn't a UFO. It was a train of Starlink satellites.

This train was filmed passing over Japan. Starlink satellites orbit Earth at high speed, so they're visible from different places at different times.
Now look at the numbers:

Before 2019, there was no Starlink network in the sky.
The first batch launched in May 2019.
As of October 15, 13,015 satellites have been launched.
11,154 are still in orbit.

9,726 are working in their operational orbits.
In just a few years, one company has changed our night sky. The internet is coming from space, but it's a big problem for astronomers, because satellites leave bright streaks across telescope images.

Nobody had ever walked the entire Amazon. Then Ed Stafford, a former British Army captain, decided to try.

He started on 2 April 2008 on the Pacific coast of Peru with his friend Luke Collyer. A few months in, Luke quit. Ed kept going. Later, a local guide, Cho Sanchez Pizarro, joined him for most of the journey.

How big is the Amazon?
The rainforest alone is bigger than the entire European Union. It spans 9 countries, and he walked through Peru, Colombia and Brazil.

How did he survive?
Fished for piranha and other river fish
Ate wild fruits and whatever the jungle offered
Got food and help from villagers along the way
Dealt with insects, heat, floods and constant danger
On 9 August 2010, after 860 days and about 6,000 km, he reached the Atlantic Ocean in Brazil. He became the first person to walk the entire length of the Amazon River.

This isn't just a trek. It's one of the hardest journeys ever completed.

PALESTINE: A HISTORY OF DISPLACEMENT AND SUFFERING 🇵🇸

• 1917: Britain issued the Balfour Declaration, supporting a Jewish national home in Palestine.

• 1948: Israel was established. Around 700,000 Palestinians fled or were expelled from their homes in the Nakba.

• 1967: Israel occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip.

• 2007: Israel imposed a blockade on Gaza, severely restricting movement and access to goods.

• 7 October 2023: Hamas attacked Israel, killing civilians and taking hostages. Israel launched a massive military campaign in Gaza.

• 2023–2026: Gaza endured widespread destruction, mass displacement and severe shortages of food, clean water, medical care and shelter. Despite the October 2025 ceasefire, violence and the humanitarian crisis have continued.

Palestine’s story did not begin in 2023—and its people’s suffering did not end with a ceasefire. 🇵🇸

France's youth are in the streets. 🇫🇷 It began on September 18, when students at one lycée in Créteil went on strike over missing teachers. By September 28, blockades had spread to Lille, Marseille, Lyon and Nice, and by October 1 over 400 lycées were closed across France. On October 6 a huge march filled Paris, on October 8 thousands gathered at Bastille, and on October 13 teachers' unions joined with a strike. What started as a staffing problem is now a national crisis. The government says the movement was manipulated by the far left and reports 715 police officers injured. Students and their lawyers say teenagers were hurt too, including a 14-year-old hit by a tear gas grenade. Their slogan: "On est là, on se taira pas." Is this a failure of schools, or of how the state responds to its youth?
