Wednesday evening turned into something truly special 🥂

After a full first day in our Diversity Lounge at @techbbqdk, filled with incredible speakers, moderators, conversations and new connections, we transformed the space once again, this time for an evening around the table.

Together with @google, @mercedesbenz_danmark and @danskerhverv, we gathered 40 people from across tech, entrepreneurship and leadership for the Women in Tech TechBBQ Dinner at Mercedes-Benz Studio.

Bianca Bruhn from Google shared a few words with the room, Bathsheba gave us an incredible live performance, and @fedty fedty set the soundtrack for the rest of the evening.

And this evening wouldn’t have happened without the people behind it. A huge thank you to @emmaabeba from @ecstudios.co, Mette Taarn Mørk and Anette Kjærgaard from Mercedes-Benz Danmark, and our Women in Tech Denmark team for helping bring it all to life 💜

And, of course, thank you to Google, Mercedes-Benz Danmark and Dansk Erhverv for making the evening possible, and to everyone who joined us around the table.

What a way to wrap up Day 1. by @inspiringdac

We’re joining forces with @google at @techbbqdk 💜

This year, Google is joining us as one of our main partners of the Women in Tech Diversity Lounge.

Earlier this year, we were part of Google’s @Reimagine campaign, exploring what happens when we challenge the images, assumptions and stereotypes that shape how we see people.

At TechBBQ, we’re continuing that conversation.
On stage, Bianca Bruhn (Country Director Google Denmark) and Sophia Nabil (Community and Growth at Lovable) will come together for fireside chat on the future of leadership in an AI-driven world:

Breaking the Algorithm: Two Generations of Women Reimagining Leadership in AI

Moderated by Emma Abeba Lang (Moderator & Entrepreneur, Founder of EC Studios).

And off stage, you’ll get the chance to do a little reimagining yourself – powered by Gemini!

We’re bringing an interactive Reimagine experience to the lounge, where you can step in and see yourself reimagined through AI.

We’re proud to join forces with Dansk Erhverv and especially Jakob Ellemann-Jensen & Frederikke Rosendal Egede Saabye for this year’s Diversity Lounge at TechBBQ 💜

Together, we’ve created seven sessions across the two days, covering some of the topics we’re really excited to bring to the Diversity Lounge this year.

We’ll be talking about everything from female tech talent and cybersecurity to funding, AI, leadership, Gen Z, diversity in tech SMEs and the skills we need for the future.

And just take a look at this carousel… that’s A LOT of talent in one place.

People from across startups, business, investment, academia and policy are joining us on stage, and we’re really excited about the conversations that are going to come out of it.

Swipe through to see what we’ve got planned (and who’s joining us)!

We’re looking forward to two packed days at TechBBQ, and to bringing these conversations to the Diversity Lounge together with Dansk Erhverv.

We’re getting ready to open the doors to Diversity Lounge 2.0 💜

In just over a week, we’re bringing the Diversity Lounge back to @techbbqdk, this year in collaboration with @google and @danskerhverv.

Two days of conversations, new perspectives and connections across tech, business, policy, investment and entrepreneurship.

We’ll open the Lounge with Joo Runge, Chair of the Board at @womenintech.dk, Drita Memisi, CEO & Board member at @womenintech.dk, and Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, Executive Vice President at @danskerhverv, setting the stage for the two days ahead.

And from there, we’re going straight into one of the big conversations:
Female Tech Talent & the Cyber Threat

A fireside chat with Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, Executive Vice President at Dansk Erhverv, and Lisbeth Bech-Nielsen, Minister for Resilience and Preparedness, exploring why bringing more women into tech isn’t only a question of representation, but also about building the talent and capabilities we need in a changing cyber landscape.

And that’s just the beginning.

Across the two days, you can expect keynotes, panels, fireside chats, live podcasts, networking and much more.
We’ll be revealing more of the programme very soon!

The Diversity Lounge is returning to @techbbqdk 💜

After a fantastic first year, we’re excited to bring back the Diversity Lounge 2.0 for 2026.

This year, we’re proud to do it together with @google and @danskerhverv to create a space dedicated to connection, inspiration, and growth.

Across both days, the Diversity Lounge will bring together founders, investors, executives, researchers, policymakers, community builders, and future talent to explore the conversations shaping the future of technology.

Built around ‘Connect. Inspire. Grow.’, the programme will feature keynotes, fireside conversations, interactive AI experiences, curated networking, founder and investor meetups, community activations, and an invitation-only evening at the Mercedes-Benz Studio.

We’re excited to welcome Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, Executive Vice President at Dansk Erhverv, and Bianca Bruhn, Country Director Denmark at Google, among this year’s speakers.

We’ll be announcing maaaaany more speakers, panel discussions, and experiences over the coming weeks.
______________________________

WE’RE ARE OPEN FOR A FEW GREAT ADDITIONS:

▪️ The program is already packed, but if you have a story that deserves to be heard, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch, and we’ll explore whether there’s an opportunity to incorporate your voice into the program.
▪️ If you’re an organisation or community that would like to partner with us, we’d love to hear from you too.

See you at TechBBQ!

Another @folkemoedet_official is behind us, and as always, the sunny island delivered inspiring conversations, new connections, and important debates ☀️

A few themes stood out this year:

➡️ We are still talking about diversity in tech.
During our “Kender du typen?” session, the person everyone in the audience was asked to identify was Anne Sofie Allarp. Yet almost everyone guessed Tommy Ahlers.

It was a simple but powerful reminder that many of us still carry unconscious assumptions about who we expect to see in leadership, technology, and innovation.

➡️ Tech was everywhere.
Across Folkemødet, conversations about AI, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, and emerging technologies dominated the agenda. Technology is shaping our societies, economies, and future competitiveness.

➡️ We need more talent.
One message kept coming up again and again: Denmark does not have enough talent to meet the growing demand for tech and digital skills.

Which raises an important question:
How can we afford to leave large parts of the talent pool on the sidelines?

Diversity is about representation, but also (and this is something many people still seem to forget) about attracting the best talent, driving innovation, and ensuring we have the skills needed to solve tomorrow’s challenges.
Because we cannot build the future with only half of the available talent (read that again!)

What do you think is the biggest barrier to attracting and retaining more women in tech today?

A huge thank you to our partners, @danskerhverv and Danske Tech Startups
Special thanks to Frederikke Rosendal Egede Saabye, Mona Persson, Søren Nielsen, Samyia Beg, Anne Sofie Allarp, Joo Runge, Emma-Catrine Hviid, Drita Memisi, Cecilie Færøvik, Shakila Shaheen, Charlotte Lynge Rice and to everyone who attended our sessions – for sharing their perspectives, challenging assumptions, and helping move the conversation forward. by @inspiringdac

Last week we hosted Fuckup Night at Soho House Copenhagen, and yet again we ended up with a completely full house (!!!) 🥂

The evening was centered around something we need more conversations about: the realities behind building businesses, careers, and ambitious projects.

Not just the polished success stories, but also the mistakes, burnout, difficult partnerships, setbacks, and all the lessons learned along the way.

A huge thank you to our incredible panelists Rasmus Schmiegelow, Nima Tisdall, and Emma Due Bitz, and to our moderator Emma Abeba Lang, for showing up so openly and honestly throughout the evening.

And thank you to everyone in the room. The openness, vulnerability, thoughtful questions, and conversations afterwards are what truly made the evening special 🤍

This is exactly why we do these events. To create spaces where people can connect, share experiences honestly, and realize they’re not alone in the process.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing the evening to life:
