We honestly thought it would be very difficult to get up to 15 black runners to commit to running to another province. We reached out to people we noticed were consistent with their running/fitness and actively showed their commitment to promoting black wellness. Within a couple weeks we had a team!

We hope by sharing our experiences and the various groups and communities that have been a part of our journeys, we inspire our peers to take their first steps and/or continue to prioritize their holistic health and wellness.

We would also love to see new runners take on UltraBlack next year 👀.

Yesterday was one of my favourite days! Thank you to everyone who came out, and a HUGE thank you to my girls, @ndaambes and @naturallywinnie , for seeing/ believing in the vision and bringing our Beyond the Run series to life.

We're so excited to share all of the amazing things we have coming up for the UB Wellness. Ultra Black has never been just a run club, our goal has always been to create opportunities for people to connect, try new things, build friendships, challenge themselves and experience life together.

At the end of the day, community is its people. It’s not just about what we do individually, but what we’re able to experience, build and become together.

From 20 friends on a boat in 2022 to 280 members on a yacht in 2026!!

What started as a friendship and a shared passion has grown into a nonprofit organization and an incredible community. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far we’ve come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Ultra Black’s 2 Year Anniversary Cruise this past Saturday. What began as a simple idea has evolved into a movement, and that’s because of every person who has believed in the vision, shown up and poured into this community.

Over the last two years, we’ve built more than a run club, we’ve built a space for connection, wellness, growth, and Black joy!! None of this would be possible without you. We’re incredibly grateful for your love, support, and trust.

A year wiser, and more grateful than ever!

The "Pink Panthers" is a celebration of the incredible women of Ultra Black Wellness Society. Women who lead, support, encourage, and help create the sense of community and belonging that makes this space so special.

It’s also a tribute to the legacy of the Black Panther Party, which celebrates 60 years this year. By the early 1970s, nearly 70% of its members were women, a powerful reminder of the role women play in building strong communities.

To the women of our community: thank you for your strength, your leadership, your care, and the countless ways you show up for one another. We are better because of you. 🖤💗

In 3 days, these six ladies and I will be running 140km from Toronto to Blue Mountain!

I’m excited for the miles, the yapping, the giggles, and whatever kind of chaos comes with spending a weekend crammed into an SUV together. 😂

More than anything, I’m honoured to be doing it alongside such strong, ambitious, supportive, inspiring, and all-around incredible women. I genuinely admire each of you and can’t wait to take on this adventure together.

First solo @hyroxca and wow… that was equally rewarding as it was brutal 😩💪🏿 But moments like this are such a reminder to never take for granted having a healthy body capable of pushing through hard things.

So thankful for our @team.ultrablack community who brought the energy all weekend. The cheering, encouragement, love, and support meant so much and honestly made the entire experience even more special.

To everyone who competed this weekend, I hope you’re proud of yourselves because HYROX is no joke. Truly one of the most physically and mentally challenging things to put yourself through, and we all showed up and got it done. Congratulations!!✨🫶🏿
