Who gets to shape the climate future? 🌍🤝

At our dialogue on intergenerational leadership, Youth Climate Collaborative brought together leaders across sectors to explore how power, decision-making, and responsibility can be shared across generations.

Through research, conversations, and collaborative breakout sessions, we examined how institutions can move beyond simply including young people toward meaningful youth participation in policy, funding, and governance.

The event also marked the launch of YCC’s new Community of Practice on Intergenerational Leadership and introduced the Power-Sharing Wheel, a framework for reflecting on how influence and decision-making can be shared.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and to BBMG for supporting this gathering. Building a climate-resilient future means making sure every generation has a meaningful role in shaping it. 💚

🌍 Happy International Youth Day!

This week we celebrated International Youth Day to reflect on the tremendous contributions of young leaders in our community and beyond to advance climate solutions. Young people aren't just leaders of tomorrow—we're organizing, creating, advocating, and shaping the world today.

But meaningful youth participation means more than just being invited to the room. It means having a real say in the decisions, resources, and systems that shape our collective future.

At YCC, we believe the climate movement is strongest when generations don't just work alongside each other, but share power, responsibility, and leadership.

This International Youth Day, let's move beyond simply listening to young people. Let's build systems where young people are trusted to lead. 💚
