That’s a wrap on In It To Win It! 🌍🏀

Co-hosted by Adapt2Win and Youth Climate Collaborative at NYCW26, this full-day youth summit brought together young leaders, athletes, founders, and partners to explore how sports, technology, storytelling, and collaboration can drive climate adaptation.

From Basketball Time and AI x Sustainability to Voices for Adaptation, the Founders’ Huddle, and the Founders, Funders & Allies Mixer, we explored new ways to turn ideas into action, build meaningful connections, and ensure young people have a seat at the table shaping our climate future.

Because winning the climate game takes all of us. 🌱

So grateful for the last two days spent with founders and leaders of youth climate organizations across the UK.

Climate action is strengthened by collective action, taken through radical collaboration and coordination, intentional field-building, open and honest conversation, mapping exercises, resource and knowledge-sharing, and real care for one another in our movement.

With a shared commitment to a healthier planet for all beings and improved livelihoods, I’m excited for what we will build together.

I’ve left the convening re-energized for more meaningful intergenerational and cross-sectoral collaboration that can lead to greater support for youth-led initiatives across the UK.

🌿 Wild Wellbeing at Abundant Earth!

A brilliant day exploring nature, reconnecting with our surroundings, and getting hands-on with citizen science at the amazing Abundant Earth site!

We started with some nature mindfulness activities, taking time to slow down, notice our surroundings and connect with the natural world around us.

Throughout the day we used iNaturalist to identify and record wildlife sightings, as well as taking part in the Big River Watch to assess the health of the river, and setting camera traps to discover which mammals are visiting the site 🐾

A highlight was being joined by the @wear_rivers_trust, who introduced us to riverfly surveying and helped us discover some of the fascinating creatures living in the river 🪰

By starting to build a baseline species list for Abundant Earth, it will help us understand what wildlife is already here and create something we can continue to monitor and build upon over time 🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, to the @wear_rivers_trust for sharing their expertise, and to @climateliveuk and @youthclimatecollab for funding the day through the Climate Courage programme 💚 by @youthclimatecollab

And perhaps, join our meeting on the 4th of November? Lots to come!#bristol #bristoleco #bristolcommunity #greennewdeal #climatetogether by @youthclimatecollab

Some of the best movements in history have had a soundtrack. This is your chance to start writing one. 🌻

On Thursday 12th November, we are hosting a free songwriting workshop for young people already involved in climate action. Led by experienced songwriters and performers, Chisara Agor and Phoebe Jasper, the afternoon is built around one idea: climate courage.

What does it take to keep showing up, speak up and stay hopeful when the challenge feels enormous? And how does that sound as a song?

Over an afternoon of facilitated writing, sharing and experimenting, you will explore your own experiences of climate action, turn them into lyrics and melodies, and leave with the beginnings of a song you can call your own.

Curiosity and a willingness to try things are all that is required.

Young people aged 18 to 30 from London and the South East who are already involved in climate action, whether through a campaign, a collective, a college society or a community project. If you care about the planet and want to find a new way to express it, you belong in this room.

Follow the link in our bio to sign up. There's a limited amount of spaces so be quick.

This workshop is in collaboration with Youth Climate Collaborative and Climate Live.

Who gets to shape the climate future? 🌍🤝

At our dialogue on intergenerational leadership, Youth Climate Collaborative brought together leaders across sectors to explore how power, decision-making, and responsibility can be shared across generations.

Through research, conversations, and collaborative breakout sessions, we examined how institutions can move beyond simply including young people toward meaningful youth participation in policy, funding, and governance.

The event also marked the launch of YCC’s new Community of Practice on Intergenerational Leadership and introduced the Power-Sharing Wheel, a framework for reflecting on how influence and decision-making can be shared.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and to BBMG for supporting this gathering. Building a climate-resilient future means making sure every generation has a meaningful role in shaping it. 💚
