Intern spotlight: Sanai Bastian

Introducing our final summer intern! Sanai comes to us from the @shepherdconsortium program, which matches students interested in poverty with organizations engaged in hands-on, community-facing, anti-poverty work.

Sanai is interning with @strengthtolovefarm. Sanai was born and raised in NYC and now studies Geography and Black Studies at Middlebury College. She’s really interested in becoming an urban planner that is community oriented!! She is excited to immerse herself in a community that deeply cares about making change and serving its people.

Intern Spotlight: Imani Gaskin

Introducing our third summer intern! Imani comes to us from the @shepherdconsortium internship program, which matches students interested in poverty with organizations engaged in hands-on, community-facing, anti-poverty work.

Imani is interning with @marthasplace_bmore this summer. She is from Barbados, and she attends the University of Pennsylvania, where she majors in Political Science with a minor in French. She has always been passionate about social justice work and fostering positive change in Black communities. She is super excited to work with and learn from everyone over her time with Martha’s Place! by @intersectionofchange
