I thought Richmond was going to be the highlight of the trip — nope it was getting to meet the incomparable Jimmy Lance tonight after Orange Tree Theatre’s production of Uncle Vanya. (Adapted/Directed by Trevor Nunn which was a hell of a bonus.)

I can confirm he is legitimately the nicest man on the face of the earth — and also gives the best hugs.

Show was absolutely incredible. If you thought he was good as Trent — seeing him in person is sublime. by @inthesestones

The theatre gods definitely smiled upon me today. I am so so excited that I managed to score rush seats to see @herewearemusical. It was my last chance to EVER see the premiere production of a @realsondheim musical.

It’s bizarre. It’s surrealist. And I think it might be one of my favorite scores of his. For his last show he gave us, I’m so grateful to be here. Thank you, sir, for all the music.

This has been a bucket list show for me for SO many years — and it was truly a privilege to open it on the 25th anniversary. I don’t have many profound things to say tonight, other than it’s an honor to tell this story over the next three weekends. Like many, I still remember where I was, watching that horrible day unfold. Seeing how our world has forever changed as a result. Today, there’s so much anger and division, this show is a sobering reminder that we are stronger together. How important community is, even when it comes from a place you least expect.

In the words of Mr Mayor: Tonight we honor what was lost, but we also commemorate what we found.

(I still hate the line about hockey being cancelled though…)

Last night I got to play one of my most favorite gigs of the holiday season: Mannheim Steamroller!

This year the Red Band came through — and had a blast reminiscing about the Baldwin-Wallace days at conservatory with Mark (the violinist who travels with the band).

It’s such a fun day with the band to rehearse, followed by the concert at night. Blessed I’m still able to keep up my musicianship skills during the year to make these nights possible. ❤️💚

So so happy for the most whirlwind trip to NYC with @mirnell17 to see @mrbrettgoldstein. Worth the 6 hour drive each way to see the show.

I no sooner arrived in Kansas City — and immediately got to live my best #TedLasso life and go get #BBQ at @arthurbryantskc. Totally worth the trip. 🤤

Only I would go to Boston… namely to go play a concert. 😂 I truly had such a good time with @firebirdpops this past week. Getting to see some familiar faces in 3D was the absolute highlight.

The talent in this group is unbelievable— and the vocalists who joined for their Broadway-themed concert were some of the best I’ve ever heard. Plus, getting to play the original Broadway Wicked orchestrations in a concert is a thrill I won’t soon forget.

Thanks to all the musicians for being so kind and welcoming to me. I really, really hope my schedule aligns again like this so I can come back. ❤️

Tonight I said auf wiedersehen to Cabaret at @the_academy_theatre. I’m so thankful I finally got to play one of my favorite shows and cross it off the bucket list. Not only that, it was an experience that reminded me why I do theatre. If you missed this show, you missed one hell of a production that is, sadly, still far too relevant today.

It’s been such an incredible experience and it was marvelous playing with such a beautiful orchestra. ❤️🎵
