My wife is the best co-pilot. Bouncing around in IMC and she pulls the mic away so I'm not distracted by her "commentary" but after breaking out of the clouds I can tell by the look on her face....

Nice flight back home from St. George, UT April 26th. Picked up IFR over the HEC VOR for a little cloud surfing and IMC on the way back into the LA Basin. This is the entire flight squished into 90 seconds.

Nighttime IFR RNAV 24 approach into Fullerton. Vectors to the final approach course. Broke out between the initial approach fix (IAF) and final approach fix (FAF) so although there was time in the clouds it can't be logged as an approach for currency.

A taste of the fall colors in the finger lakes area of NY, just west of Seneca Lake. It's a beautiful VFR day all across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Can't wait to see what today's flight has in store.

Another box checked on the bucket list. Flew around the Statue of Liberty and up the Hudson River corridor past NYC today, it was amazing. (Just some stuff from the phone, will have video from the Insta360 soon, promise 😀)

Finished up the first part of the trip with an hour in IMC before getting some beautiful views coming into Rochester, NY. Going to spend a few days in the area before heading off to see VT/NH/ME from the air.

Continuing the trip east. I promise real videos are coming in the next few weeks, just some quick updates. Flew from the Spirit of St Louis Airport past the Arch and shot the approach in IMC to Marion County Airport in Ohio.

Day 2 is in the books. Started at Mesa Gateway (KIWA) with a fuel stop in Moore County TX (KDUX). Next was Miami County KS (K81) but first an unplanned stop at Jabara Field (KAAO) near Wichita. Eventually got to Miami County and had dinner at We B Smokin which was amazing! Finished up the day in St Louis landing at Spirit of St Louis Airport (KSUS). Will fly by the Arch tomorrow morning.
