A small space that now works a lot harder for everyday living.

This pass-through space between the garage and kitchen is now a hardworking, multi-use space—laundry, drop zone, cleaning supplies, coats, and coffee bar all in one.

By working within the existing footprint and plumbing, we reimagined the layout without changing the bones of the home.

Blue inset cabinetry with gold accents keeps it tailored and timeless, while zellige floors add warmth and texture underfoot. We love her!

A Split Foyer, Reimagined. 🤍

Who says a split foyer can’t feel timeless, elegant, and welcoming?

Split-level homes are common throughout the Annapolis area, and while their layouts can sometimes feel challenging, they have so much potential with the right design.

For this renovation, we focused on creating an entryway that feels intentional and full of character. From the beautiful arched opening and custom millwork to the rich wood staircase, classic lighting, and thoughtful finishing details, every element works together to elevate the space.

The result? A split foyer that doesn’t feel like your typical split foyer.

Measure three times. Cut once. 📐

For this project, we’re incorporating custom cabinetry from @cabinetjoint in nearly every room of the house.

While we design everything based on the architect’s plans, it’s so important to double (and triple!) check measurements on site before finalizing cabinetry. Finished flooring, drywall, and other construction details can all affect the final dimensions, especially ceiling heights. Even small differences matter when you’re working with cabinetry that’s designed to fit just right.

A little corner with a lot of charm. 🤍

One of our favorite ways to make a home feel more inviting is by turning an otherwise unused corner into something special.

Custom cabinetry, a cozy window seat, and warm brass details come together to create the perfect little reading nook. 📚

The details that make a bathroom feel custom.

It’s easy to focus on the big selections—tile, countertops, cabinetry—but so much of a finished space comes down to how those materials meet, transition and repeat throughout the room.

A few details we think through on every project:

01 — Tile borders
A soldier-stack border divided by a marble pencil gives standard subway tile a more custom look. Carrying that same marble into the threshold keeps everything connected.

02 — Countertop edges
An ogee edge adds a traditional, furniture-like detail. Here, we paired it with a taller backsplash and side splash for a more substantial, finished look.

03 — Floor transitions
Penny tile in the shower transitions over a marble curb into a bordered herringbone main floor. In wet areas, we use solid stone on horizontal surfaces whenever possible rather than relying on grouted tile—fewer joints and a more durable, water-resistant detail.

04 — Window trim + sills
A window inside a shower needs to be treated as part of the wet area. This tempered window is fully trimmed in marble, with the same stone repeated at the niche sill and pencil-edge details.

05 — Wallpaper
We love wallpaper in powder rooms. In bathrooms with showers, we’re much more selective about placement since repeated steam and humidity can affect certain papers and adhesives over time.

06 — Niches
We design niches to feel like part of the tile installation, not an afterthought. This one uses a marble perimeter and shelves with matching subway tile inside.

07 — Thresholds
One of those tiny details that makes a house feel cohesive. Whenever possible, we coordinate thresholds with the countertops and surrounding flooring while keeping the material consistent throughout the home.

The pretty selections matter. The way they’re detailed matters just as much.

From unfinished basement to one of our favorite spaces in the house. 🤎

We started with exposed ceilings, concrete floors and a completely blank slate—and transformed it into a dark, moody space designed for entertaining, relaxing and actually being used.

Custom cabinetry, arched built-ins, a full bar, pool table, fireplace, layered millwork and a ceiling that may be our favorite part of the whole transformation.

But one of the best parts of this project? Clients who trusted the process. They gave us the freedom to take their vision, run with it and make the design decisions that brought the entire space together.

Our favorite projects are always a collaboration—but there’s something pretty special that happens when clients hire us for our vision and trust us to do what we do best. 🤍

And this one is proof that basements definitely don’t have to feel like basements.

A Jack-and-Jill designed for two girls, with a little more separation.

Each bedroom connects to its own end of the bathroom, giving each girl a private vanity and toilet area, with the tub and linen closet shared in the center.

We kept the finishes consistent from one end to the other with checkered marble floors, marble countertops and trim, warm brass, soft neutral tile, and floral wallpaper to bring in a little color and pattern.

Two individual spaces that still feel like one cohesive bathroom.
