A kid in a candy store... In Lisbon, at the Bertrand bookstore yesterday. Opened in Portugal in 1732, it’s the world’s oldest bookstore still in activity.

Since 2018, when I bought my first BMW R1200 GS Adventure motorcycle, “adventure” and motorcycle traveling” were synonymous in my life. That was until last week, when my sister (visiting from Brazil) and I went on a road trip to Utah and Arizona by car.

This road trip was special, first because it was the longest (2,400 miles) with Marcia, and the first ever just the two of us. Second, due to the cold and the heavy snow, I would never have done this trip in the Spring given that I only overlanded by motorcycle before.

We saw so much: snow storms at Zion and the Grand Canyon, six National Parks in total, Moki Dugway, and a sand storm from The Valley of the Gods, past Monument Valley (which was closed due to the storm), all the way until close to Flagstaff. Slowly, I’ll post a few of the images. Here the snow storm (with sun!) at the Grand Canyon, and the ravens that pervaded our journey.
