The FLAG Art Foundation @flagartfoundation is a non-collecting, nonprofit exhibition space that mounts solo, two-person, and thematic group exhibitions centering on emerging and established artists from around the globe. Organized by a diverse community of curators and thinkers within and beyond the art world, @flagartfoundation opened to the public in 2008 and has staged over 100 exhibitions celebrating the work of nearly 1,000 artists.

Committed to providing education and resources for its surrounding community, and across New York City, all exhibitions and programs-including artist talks, artist-led workshops, and guided tours for school and museum groups-are free and open to the public.

@seaviewla is a prominent contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles that showcases emerging and underrepresented voices across art, design, and architecture.
Founded by @saraleehantman in 2022, the gallery operates from a 1930s “Old Hollywood” building off Fountain Avenue.

The gallery’s origins are deeply rooted in experimentation. It originally launched as a domestic “social sculpture” inside artist Jorge Pardo’s home in Mount Washington.
Since transitioning into a commercial space, @seaviewla has continued its artist-first approach by supporting intimate dialogues between artists, viewers, and spatial design.

#CatherineOpie @csopie (b. 1961) is a renowned American fine-art photographer known for documenting diverse LGBTQ+ communities, American subcultures, and urban landscapes. Her work often uses the formal, dignified staging of historical Renaissance portraiture to ennoble marginalized subjects and challenge traditional norms surrounding identity and the American dream.

Opie’s career spans several major focal points, ranging from her early studio portraits to wide-spanning, observational landscapes. She first gained widespread acclaim in the 1990s for photographing her circle of gay, lesbian, and transgender friends. Moving beyond studio work, Opie has documented the broader American social landscape.

Back to the Source presents seminal works from 1972-1985, a prolific period of @anamendietaartist 's work, spanning stages of time spent in lowa, Mexico, and Cuba, including ten digitally remastered films, photographic works, newly available photographic prints and drawings, and ephemeral sculpture.

Using the earth as a sculptural medium - which she molded, impressed, and burned - Mendieta conveyed notions of existence, resurgence and renewal through site-inclusive works that were exquisitely ethereal and transitory.
Contemplative and existential meditations on mortality and the natural world, these works were part of living processes.
