Made in is the chair designed by @irenesegarrarius, one of the 12 pieces exhibited at Dos Mil Quatre-Cents Setanta Grams for Milan Design Week 2026.

“The chair’s main materials are stainless steel and a textile made from product labels from IKEA textiles. The visual weight of the piece rests precisely on this fabric, which stems from a very specific observation: the excessive quantity and oversized dimensions of the labels that accompany these products. By collecting labels from different homes in my family, and sewing them together with my mother, who helped me bring this idea to life, we were able to produce more than two linear metres of fabric.” - Irene Segarra

@2470grams is the collective exhibition presented at Milan Design Week 2026 that brought together 12 furniture and lighting pieces conceived by 18 young Catalan designers under a shared premise: each object weighed 2,470 grams.

Curated by five young professionals from the sector, the works were displayed on a single pedestal and spanned disciplines from ceramics and textiles to metalwork and glassmaking. Taking weight as a starting point, the exhibition explored the limits between sustainability, industry and craftsmanship — and proposed a more human and playful approach to everyday objects.

The curators behind Dos Mil Quatre-Cents Setanta Grams: Pau Geis, Nicole Rambla, Marina Vera, Eva Castany and Irene Segarra

“With weight as its pretext, Dos Mil Quatre-Cents Setanta Grams aims to offer, within the great saturation of proposals at Milan Design Week, a perspective on the future that moves away from the typical hegemonic narratives surrounding industrial design. In doing so, it draws a collective portrait of a new generation of Catalan designers: one shaped by a growing sense of community, a deep regard for manual and artisanal processes, and a shared desire to propose a more human and playful approach to everyday objects.”

“In design, nothing is neutral. Every decision leaves a trace—even the things we tend to overlook shape the final piece.” - Irene Segarra

Wine pomace ink 🍇
To print the graphic communication of the packaging, an ink made from the residual liquid from the production of bacterial cellulose (fed with wine) is designed.
In this way no waste is generated in the production of this compostable and biodegradable packaging and the circularity of the material is guaranteed. 🍃

Located in the heart of Collserola, Can Calopa de Dalt is a century-old farmhouse where l'Olivera makes unique wines, the only ones born in Barcelona. Since 2010 they have kept the city’s wine heritage alive, giving wings to a social inclusion project that promotes peri-urban agroecology.
Working together with them, Brisa project was developed.
