✨ 𝐀𝐑𝐂 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 ✨ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐱𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐲 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐞 🌿📚 🧚🏻‍♀️🍄🍓

A little special note: I actually reached out directly to the author, Isla Rowe, and she kindly sent me a copy. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to read this beautiful story early. 💌

My full thoughts are now up, swipe, read, and let me know if you like reading a cozy fae fantasy like this.🧚‍♀️🌸

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5.0

The Foxglove Door follows Lily Poole, a struggling illustrator who inherits a cottage in the hidden village of Briarhollow after the death of her great-aunt Pearl. What I enjoyed most was the novel's gradual sense of discovery rather than relying on dramatic twists or high-stakes action.

Overall, I enjoyed The Foxglove Door very much. Its greatest accomplishment is the feeling it creates. Reading this novel feels like sitting beside a cottage window on a rainy afternoon with a cup of tea and a stack of old journals waiting to be explored.
What i love about it, it's not trying to be an epic fantasy. It is not trying to reinvent faerie lore. Instead, it offers readers a warm, magical refuge filled with flowers, books, tea, friendship, and quiet wonder. The novel's greatest achievement is how effortlessly it creates the feeling that magic might be hiding just beyond the edge of ordinary life.
I would absolutely recommend this book to readers who enjoy character-driven fantasy, cottagecore aesthetics, gentle magical realism, and stories about healing after loss.

While the slow pacing and relatively low stakes may not appeal to every reader, the novel's warmth, sincerity, and sense of wonder more than make up for its shortcomings. By the end, I found myself appreciating the novel not just for its magic, but for its gentle reminder that there is beauty and wonder hidden in everyday life just waiting to be discovered.
Most importantly, it made me want to return to Briarhollow. I'm excited to see where the story goes next and look forward to picking up the second book to spend more time with these characters and uncover more of the mysteries surrounding the fae world.

Finally sharing a new journal spread. ✨

This spread is dedicated to Our Crooked Hearts by Melissa Albert. This book had such an intriguing atmosphere, and I wanted this page to reflect its darker, witchy vibes.

Also, these gorgeous washi tapes from @ieebeeoffice were the perfect match for this spread. 🌙

Hi! It’s been a long, almost 2-year hiatus from here while I’ve been immersed in the beautiful chaos of becoming a mom.👋🤱 It has been an incredible journey, but it's also been a challenge to prioritize my own needs. Those first few months were a sweet, sleep-deprived haze, and to be honest, trying to squeeze in a book felt like a luxury I couldn't afford when I was busy snuggling and caring for my little one. My reading life took a necessary pause.

I'm slowly finding my way back to the books that bring me joy. As I settle into life as a mother, I now appreciate reading on a whole new level. Reading isn't just a hobby anymore but it has become my cherished sanctuary that is both a well-deserved luxury and my necessary form of therapy.

To kickstart my reading journey, I'm revisiting Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. There's something special about revisiting a classic that reminds me why I fell in love with books in the first place. Re-reading and annotating it is helping me reconnect with my love for books and find my reading rhythm again. It's also serves as a reminder that even in the chaos of motherhood, there's always space for the things that bring us peace and happiness ❤️.

Finally finished Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton, the first book in a trilogy. 🔥🏜

This book has been sitting on my shelf since 2024, and I'm so glad I finally picked it up. I ended up kinda liking it. What I adored most was the world-building. The desert setting felt so vivid and immersive, and the blend of magic, mythology, and adventure made the story so enjoyable.

✨🌊 Happy Release Day, #spelltidebay! 🧙‍♀️📚
This is another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC for me!

I'm still working on my usual in-depth review☺️, but I couldn't let release day pass without saying how much I loved Tides Wait for No Witch by Natalie Summers.

This book was everything I want in a paranormal cozy mystery: a charming seaside town, witches, found family, a compelling mystery, and a cast of characters I genuinely grew attached to by the end of the story. Sara was such an easy protagonist to root for, and I loved uncovering the secrets hidden throughout Spelltide Bay.
And can we talk about Ollie, the absolute cutest little talking otter? He completely stole my heart and probably a few hairbrushes, too. 😉🦦

There was always another clue to uncover, another secret to unravel, or another twist just waiting around the corner, which kept me eagerly turning the pages.

If you're looking for a cozy read filled with magical small-town vibes, lovable characters, family secrets, and a mystery that keeps you guessing, I highly recommend picking this one up.

Congratulations, @nataliesummersbooks, on your release day! 🦦🐋💙✨ by @iris_thebooknerd

Here's my review of The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw. 🌊✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌊Long review ahead.🌊

It's a bit of a long read (okay... maybe a lot 😅), but I had so many thoughts about it.

If you've read the book, I'd love to hear whether you agree with my thoughts. And if you haven't, I hope this helps you decide if it's worth picking up.

I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts as much as I enjoyed writing them.🐚🧜🏻‍♀️

🌙The Wicked Deep🐦‍⬛
By Shea Ernshaw

An atmospheric and haunting read filled with mystery, local legend, and small-town secrets. I loved the eerie coastal setting in this book and the way the story felt like a dark fairytale unfolding by the sea.

BTW, my full review is coming soon. I've actually been working on it for a week now 😆. I prefer writing and editing my reviews myself rather than using AI (A BIG NO 🙅🏻‍♀️ 🚫🙄), so the process takes longer. I would rather spend my time in finding the right words and make sure my thoughts genuinely reflect my reading experience.

😊A little note about the seashells in this photo: they've been part of our home decor for decades and have been sitting on our shelves for as long as I can remember. 🐚✨

✨️Finally updated my reading journal ✨

My only goal for this journal is simple, just to fill every page with book reviews and little bits of creative journaling.

This spread features my review of The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett. I originally shared my review here a few months ago, and I'm so happy to finally give it a place in my journal.

Also featuring some of these beautiful washi tapes gifted by @ieebeeoffice , which I think fit the vibe perfectly. These tapes are from the Golden Magic Collection, and they instantly elevate my journal spreads by adding a whimsical charm that I absolutely adore. ✨
