NEW EPISODE! Appy-polly loggies for the unexpected break, my brothers. But I promise this one is a real horrorshow for the prestoopnick ookos that require a bit of the old ultraviolence. My droog joins your favorite devotchka for a bit of the old in out.

Just kidding! We’re talking about Stanley Kubrick’s transgressive masterpiece, A Clockwork Orange. Iris Ray is a photographer and cinephile with an eye for the chaotic, colorful, and pop art inspired, making them a perfect guest for this film! This is a long one since we analyze in a traditional scene by scene format. We chat about the controversy surrounding the film’s release and it’s themes of homoerotic masculinity that portended our current cultural environment. We gush over the interiors and costumes. In fact, Iris replicated Alex de Large’s droog outfit! So definitely check this episode out on my YouTube channel if the platform you’re on only allows audio.

Photo + design for last month’s debut of LET’S BE POPSTARS! at @elysiantheater 💫💫💫 @skarlettredd and @ann___valdes wrote and starred in a hilarious play about two roommates who become popstars to afford buying a home in LA, uncovering a capitalist conspiracy to turn everything grey in the process. Skarlett and Annie asked for a design that felt like Hannah Montana meets Broad City(!!!). I reimagined the original design we made here to capture the story as I saw it, through a visual language that’s more like Josie and the Pussycat’s meets Peewee’s Big Adventure 🎸🦖💖 Thank you Skarlett and Annie for asking me to collaborate on a project so smart and vibrant!! by @irisforbrains

Sketchbook entries, 2022ish to now 📗 Sometimes I collage to brain dump and just enjoy gluing one piece of paper to another. Other times it’s like eating sweets til I’m sick. This is a bit of both 🦷🧠🫯🎨🍓 by @irisforbrains

🥀⚰️🕷️🍷🩸⚔️ Countess Dracula + MCR lyrics, a perfect monster mashup to me 😈

1. Risograph in orchid and flourescent orange
2. Ingrid Pitt in Countess Dracula (1971)
3. Same as No. 1, but more romantic
4. The collage I scanned for the design + a test print sparkling in my sketchbook taken in Dracula's Castle, Transylvania by @irisforbrains
