NEW EPISODE! Appy-polly loggies for the unexpected break, my brothers. But I promise this one is a real horrorshow for the prestoopnick ookos that require a bit of the old ultraviolence. My droog joins your favorite devotchka for a bit of the old in out.

Just kidding! We’re talking about Stanley Kubrick’s transgressive masterpiece, A Clockwork Orange. Iris Ray is a photographer and cinephile with an eye for the chaotic, colorful, and pop art inspired, making them a perfect guest for this film! This is a long one since we analyze in a traditional scene by scene format. We chat about the controversy surrounding the film’s release and it’s themes of homoerotic masculinity that portended our current cultural environment. We gush over the interiors and costumes. In fact, Iris replicated Alex de Large’s droog outfit! So definitely check this episode out on my YouTube channel if the platform you’re on only allows audio.

I had a great time in LA. On my way to Sacramento for @nevermoregorelesque tonight. I don’t often daywalk on main, but this was a special trip full of Hollywood and horror stuff I think you’ll probably be into, too.

@irisforbrains and I recreating the following iconic meeting of the minds, on the very same spot they met…

…Waters & Lynch in front of Bob’s Big Boy Burbank (we did this on John Waters’s birthday, no less)

I got a vanilla malt and don’t know how to post the photo with Iris in frame…

…but they got David’s favorite, chocolate. We cried a little beforehand.

Baby’s first bag charm from @halloweentownstore . Iris is a clairvoyant with blind bags and fondled them until they found BOTH of our first choices—Ezra from the Haunted Mansion for me, Fatso the Killer Klown for them.

Nomi Malone’s jacket at @its_a_wrap_clothing where I scored deals.

-8: Paying our respects to David Lynch. His plot is sort of cordoned off at the moment, if you’re planning a visit.

Trapped by peacocks trying to leave Hollywood Forever.

Checked one off the bucket list by posing in front of THEE gate from The House on Haunted Hill (Ennis House). The groundskeepers were very patient with me and helped me get back down the capital H hill.

I just love FLW’s textile blocks, man.

Fulfilled my teenage dream by visiting @laluzdejesus . Loved @jdalva ‘s work on display.

Met @christianjoycostumes at her show at @gross_gallery_la and got to thank her for how influential she’s been to me as a drag/stage costumer. We chatted about power mesh. Directly out of frame is @ko who I was too starstruck by to look at directly. Karen O, you will not see this but I am so sorry, I love you so much, I didn’t mean to be rude, my brain short circuited and I couldn’t process being in the presence of not one, but two punk queens/formative figures of mine. Thank you both for coming. This will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Reuniting with lovely friends in Chinatown.
