Katya — ... @katya_alagich — it’s like when you leave the house in the morning, and finally you feel a touch of fresh air on your face. You take a breath and a smile appears on your face. And somehow everything falls into place and calms down inside. These are the feelings I have when I talk to Katya and look at her works.

Катя — …@katya_alagich — это вот как когда выходишь утром из дома, и наконец чувствуешь прикосновение свежего воздуха на лице. Делаешь вдох — и на лице улыбка появляется. И как-то так всё на место становится и успокаивается. Вот такие ощущения, когда с Катей общаешься и смотришь на её работы.

Я очень многому научилась. Любить. И, чувствуя, как внутренние мои прутья стараются построить вокруг сердца клетку, ломать их и открывать его вновь. И вновь. И любить ещё больше. Научилась видеть — то, что мне показывает жизнь, а не мои внутренние голоса. Научилась принимать. По-новому, по-особенному, из глубины сердца.

Я узнала, что стены, что когда-то построила внутри себя, не исчезли совсем, а поднимаются из глубины и не дают видеть лучи, что светят прямо на меня. И что замечаю я это часто только когда солнце уже почти за горизонтом.

Я узнала, что за этими стенами любви ещё больше, чем я могла представить. И что если дать ей быть, становится легче дышать. Дышать полной грудью. С улыбкой в глазах и внутри.

Я узнала, что есть очень много способов сказать ‘я тебя люблю’. А часто бывает достаточно просто сказать. Я тебя люблю.

I’ve learned so much. To love. And when I feel the bars inside me trying to build a cage around my heart, to break them and open it again. And again. And love even more.

I’ve learned to see — what life is showing me, rather than what the voices inside me are saying. I’ve learned to accept. In a new way, in a different way, from somewhere deep in my heart.

I’ve learned that the walls I once built inside myself never completely disappeared. That they rise from somewhere deep within me and keep me from seeing the light shining straight at me. And that often I only notice it when the sun is already almost below the horizon.

I’ve learned that there is even more love behind those walls than I could have imagined. And that when I let it be, it becomes easier to breathe. To breathe with my whole chest. With a smile in my eyes and somewhere inside me.

I’ve learned that there are so many ways to say ‘I love you’. And that often, simply saying it is enough.

I love you.
