Iron Asylum Gym is located in an active industrial zone with semi trucks, heavy equipment, and businesses operating throughout the day.

We ask all members and guests to:

🚛 Drive slowly and cautiously
🚛 Always give semi trucks the right of way
🚛 Stay on the designated roadway and parking areas

While the weight stack is fairly heavy I would not treat this machine as a “grip it and rip it” type of exercise trying to move the weight fast / explosively.

This machine feels best when tempo is kept in full control for both the squeeze and stretch portions of the rep.

Longer video but this machine has several components and is definitely not one you want to get stuck in.

Besides belt squats you can use this for RDLs, dips, pull ups, and more.

No gym is complete without a leg press and the more adjustable the back pad is the better off you will be.

Nothing is worse in a leg press when the back pad doesn’t go back far enough as the ROM for almost every variation is limited at the hip joint.

Leaning the back pad back allows for a bigger ROM and is more comfortable for the majority of people.

Along with treating it similar to other pendulum squats for training quads, this machine can be used for other variations as shown in the video but also even more.

Good mornings / hip hinges could also be done on this machine too.

Generally speaking this machine is easy on the knees (compared to other pendulum squats) and can be used for anyone with limitations whether that’s ROM restrictions or other aches and pains they may be working around.
