On the authority of Abu Abbas Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
One day I was behind the Prophet (ﷺ) [riding on the same mount] and he said, "O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allah [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allah had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried."
(Hasan)
At-Tirmidhi

Another narration, other than that of Tirmidhi, reads:
Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.

Being graduated to black belt by the G.O.A.T. himself @rogergracie is an honor that I would have never imagined.
I've been a fan of him since day 1. A true inspiration both as athlete and human. He is a humble human being with loads of wisdom.
If you asked me a year ago, my answer would be that I someday would receive my black belt from the same person that awarded me the blue, purple and brown belt, namely Paulo. (Although the purple belt i got from both @maiconjits
and Paulo)
But, we humans plan, and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of planners.

Having at least ONE of my earlier Professors attending the graduation was a truly needed and heartfelt gift that I will always be grateful for and will never forget , it was actually such an emotional experience that after expressing my gratitude to @maiconjits ,i choked up and barely was able to thank everyone in general before i had to sit down and gather my emotions. (You can see that in the video🙈)
Once again Maicon, Obrigado meu irmāo ❤️ for all the knowledge and great memories we have shared and i look forward to share many more beautiful moments together with you in the future, se Deus quiser 😊

Having many of the OG's attending there as well, was just as heartwarming thanks to all of you, especially @bighaugen ❤️ and ALL the rest of you old gangsters and pimps 🤙 i got love for you all ☠️☝️🤍😁
Getting my black belt the same day as @ronthegrappler @trulsej84 and @christian_holthe was awesome and also a bit embarrassing because i have always thought of them as guys much more knowledgeable than me in jiu jitsu, but i take it as a compliment and an inspiration to always evolve and chase those in front of me for the knowledge.

The most emotional thing for me that day was something that was unimaginable just a while ago.
That was, having my brother in Islam, my best friend, my little brother that i love to frustrate, and in more than one way, my teacher, standing there alongside Roger, taking off my brown belt and sending me off to my last belt @elyes_bmt_abid
I proudly say that I am a Roger Gracie jiu jitsu black belt

Historical day for Scandinavian jiujitsu with Professor @marceloyoguibjj receiving his Coral belt after over 31 years as a black belt from the hands of Professor @gordobjj in front of friends, family and lots of students!

It was an honor to witness this achievement my dear friend, mentor and teacher 🫡
