Here's why I've been so quiet this past month. 👀

Short version: if you thought $20K in May was crazy, wait til you hear what I got up to this July.

And somehow, in between all of that, I made more than I did in May.

Solo travel didn’t just change my approach to life, it changed how I run my business.

When you move through unfamiliar places, you learn quickly that waiting for certainty isn’t an option. You make calls with limited information, adapt when things don’t go as planned, and trust yourself to figure it out as you go. More importantly, you feel the fear and do it anyway. Running your own business is exactly the same.

What carried over most wasn’t confidence; it was a belief in yourself.
Trusting yourself to make decisions when it feels right, rather than because you "should" or "have to.
Getting outside your comfort zone and talking to strangers, pitching your ideas, even when it’s uncomfortable. Rejection is so damn uncomfortable.
Saying yes, knowing you’ll learn either way, regardless of the outcome.

Those early travel lessons quietly shaped how I run my business today: steady decisions, fewer shortcuts, and complete ownership over my choices.

If you’re navigating unfamiliar territory in work or life, you’re probably learning more than you realise. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Hiking taught me something I didn’t fully understand when I first started building a business: progress isn’t meant to be fast or comfortable. It’s arduous, and sometimes has no end in sight.

There are stretches where nothing seems to change, moments where the conditions turn without warning, and plenty of times you question why you started at all. But just like a long hike, the work compounds quietly. You don’t see it day to day, until one day, you realise how far you’ve come.

If you’re building something that matters to you, give yourself permission to move at your own pace. The long way isn’t wrong. It’s often the one that lasts.

What no one tells you about saying yes to something scary is that it doesn’t suddenly make you brave. It makes you responsible. Responsible for figuring things out, for adapting, for following through even when the excitement fades.

That first yes didn’t solve everything; it demanded growth. It forced me to build trust with myself through action, not affirmations. And over time, that trust became the foundation for every decision that came after.

If you’re waiting to feel “ready,” that feeling might never come. Sometimes readiness is built only after you take the first step.
