September: somehow didn’t even favourite 20 photos but did become a secondary school mum and admire some nice skies. by @isabel.mohan

Just between us, Team Second Act are a little bleary-eyed today, because last night we celebrated being shortlisted in the Best Entertainment category at the @britishpodcastawards - aka the podcast Oscars!

While we didn’t win gold (well done @jamielaing and @sophiehabboo for their well-deserved victory), we were absolutely delighted to be nominated alongside broadcasting heavyweights like @officiallouistheroux, @kathbum, @zoetheball and @jowhiley.

The conversations @atehjewel has every week with our wonderful celebrity guests touch on so many huge, important topics - from menopause and relationships to confidence, grief, careers and starting all over again - and we’re so proud to be giving a voice to women in midlife who’ve often felt overlooked. Click the link in bio to listen to all the episodes now.

If you’re reading this, you know that women in their 40s, 50s and beyond have so much to say, and we think those stories deserve a big, noisy seat at the table.

So thank you for listening, sharing, sending us your questions and making Second Act what it is. We’re only just getting started… although we might put it off until Monday, since right now we need a little lie down, and perhaps a snuggle with the special Second Act cushion that we were awarded on the night… taken in London, United Kingdom by @isabel.mohan

AUGUST. Yeah so I ran a bit and saw some animals and frolicked with my kids and took smug selfies just like every other month, only more aesthetically pleasing (the scenery, not my face).

Doing these monthly photo dumps is starting to feel like a chore and a burden, I might just start posting stuff spontaneously again, imagine! by @isabel.mohan

It was so interesting sitting down with nutritionist @emma.bardwell for the latest episode of @hellomag @secondacthello Second Act Unpacked with @isabel.mohan.

The question we were talking through with Emma? Why it’s so hard to lose weight as we get older - but it turned into an interesting discussion about why we’re hankering after our 22 year old bodies anyway when our focus could shift to strength and longevity, something Emma is super-passionate about.

Tap the podcast link in our bio or search Second Act on your podcast platform of choice to hear the whole thing - and be sure to let us know what you think. by @isabel.mohan

June, you were intense. Highlights: our first @secondacthello live event this week, a trip to @camiral_qdlresort that was both indulgent and wholesome, lots of cat cuddles and somehow being in possession of an 11 year old.

Not pictured: mountains of life admin, Bobby going missing for 36 hours and Raph spending his birthday money on a kazoo. by @isabel.mohan

A lot more running around outside this month - as well as plenty of sitting around outside eating and drinking.

Plus! Hot new addition to monthly photo dump: taking wanky photos of books I’ve enjoyed in the hope that it will incentivise me to actually read more.

I’m leaving the country for a couple of days tomorrow to do all of the above in an exciting new location, so the May photo dump should be suitably unbearable (but sadly no more cat birthday parties pending). by @isabel.mohan
