Happy Birthday Dad!

You would’ve turned 50 today.

As much as we’ve celebrated his life this past year, there is always the feeling of loss that comes with it. Today, I celebrate the growth within my Dad. The strength, determination, and love he had inside of him with the purpose of serving his family. The way that he gave his life to Christ, and led us to do the same. He was a leader of the people and a follower of God. No matter what, he would always do what he could to show me how much he loved me and supported me. He was adventurous and risk-taking, something everyone who knows him would know. He loved pushing people to be the best version of themselves that they could be, and he did that with me. He was truly an extraordinary man.

Even though he is no longer with me physically, I feel him within me every day. He drives my adventurous spirit and curiousity to follow the path that God has laid out for me. It is hard living with bits of sadness in the midst of all the joy that I experience, but I am learning that it is something I am strong enough to navigate. I am so proud to call him my Dad. I will forever be your little girl!

I love you always.
