She’s a UNITED NATIONS PARTNER! 🥳🩷

We truly gave our blood, sweat, and tears for this opportunity! 🥹 During the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum this past April, Hana spoke on our behalf about gender equality and the importance of giving young girls a seat at the table. We also got to meet officials at @unwomen, @unyouthforum, @una.usa, and more. We look forward to working with the United Nations in the years to come 🫶

Mahalo nui loa to @hawaiichildrenandyouthday for selecting me as one of the 2025 Outstanding Advocates for Children and Youth, on behalf of my role as the International Chief Executive Officer of @shesinoffice!

I want to share this award, and also thank the entire She’s in Office team for getting our organization this far. Starting with our International Executive Board, including Junya, Tanroop, Bryn, Armani, Savannah and Shreya- our Cabinet- Olivia, Nicole, Alice, Sania, Amanda, Sarah, Aryana, Payton, Minh, Rania, and Rose- and all of our state/local chapter leaders (especially thank you to @shesinoffice_hi for coming to CYD!)
Your efforts, passion, friendship, and dedication to this organization is why She’s in Office breathes.

I also want to talk about why She’s in Office exists in the first place- that being our mission to make the world a more inclusive place for women in leadership and ending gender-based violence. The safety, resilience, joy, and justice for women are the 4 principles of She’s in Office.

She’s in Office exists because women in the United States don’t have access to reproductive healthcare. She’s in Office exists because women in Palestine are unable to access proper menstrual hygiene products. She’s in Office exists because women in the Democratic Republic of Congo are being sexually assaulted by local militias. She’s in Office exists because Indigenous American women are disproportionately targeted by human trafficking. She’s in Office exists because Kānaka Wāhine (Native Hawaiian Women) make up 2/3 of Hawai’i’s sex trafficking victims. She’s in Office exists because women in Afghanistan are under oppressive ruling- leaving them without education, freedom of speech, and more. She’s in Office exists because underage girls are being forced into child marriages across the globe. She’s in Office exists because women are faced with economic disparity globally. She’s in Office exists because sexism and misogyny are deadly.

She’s in Office exists so that ALL women and girls, regardless of who they are or where they are from can be free, happy, equal, and represented. by @isabelleinoffice

Juneteenth Festival at Aloha Stadium presented by @fortheculturehawaii was so exciting! Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, culture, and resilience for Black Americans. Today marks the day that the Emancipation Proclamation was enforced in Galveston, Texas. In 1866, Black Americans created Jubilee Day; which is now commonly known as Juneteenth (or, June 19th).
I’m proud of my Black side, and being able to carry my accomplishments with those who came before me is my greatest motivation. As Miss Teen Cosmo Mililani, being able to represent my cultures has been an essential part of who I represent with my title.

Although Juneteenth is a celebration, it’s also a time to reflect on how much more needs to happen in our world to protect Black people. Black holidays such as Juneteenth are heartwarming to me, because I’m able to watch my community come together & share happiness with each other. Through the music, dances, parties, festivals and more- we show up in solidarity. To me, solidarity means showing up for each other to create change, and celebrate the progress we’ve made along the way. Our shared joy is resilience.

As we head into the 2026 midterms, let this be an important reminder that we have so much work to do as a country. There are nearly 150,000 individual elections happening this year on local, state, and federal levels.

As we watch the United States negatively transform itself due to recent (and historical) developments, it’s not just damaging politics, it’s damaging humanity. Everyday, we watch ICE terrorize immigrants, native people lose their land to unethical military intervention, black families burying their kids because racial hate crimes killed them, LGBTQIA+ kids getting kicked out of their homes for their identities, children in Palestine & Iran being bombed by nefarious officials, women are losing autonomy over their bodies, the cost of living rising which is causing working class people to live in poverty, the 1% of wealthy individuals creating their own bureaucracy to control the worldwide population,
climate change is bound to burn us alive, and the people who think that they run the earth are controlled by hate.

I have a lot to say because I have a lot to be mad about. Don’t let anger destroy you, but use anger as a tool to change something. Vote for candidates who are willing to take the same action that you want to see. Protest against the society driven by hate. Read banned books. Share reliable information before the government tries to shut it down from censorship. Say something. Do something. Try something. And STAY WOKE by @isabelleinoffice
